Moonbeams of Unintended Consequencesby Muffy Wilson
THEY spent an insatiable night together in Room 457 of the Historic Whitcomb Hotel locked in a magnetic embrace riding moonbeams of passion and ribbons of desire. He took her to the edge, to a special volcanic place inside, somewhere she had never before been and never been since: fiery, impatient, burning, yearning. That magnetic connection fueled a love that wove them irretrievably together in ways that only the future would disclose-a future neither of them ever anticipated.

Reviewed by Kayti Nika Raet for Readers' Favorite Moonbeams of Unintended Consequences by Muffy Wilson is an interracial erotic romance centered around the passions of Jordan Taylor, a socialite, and Mason D’Istafrio, a talented opera singer. Woven into the sensual tale is also a heartwarming story of family and of lovers reconciled as Moonbeams of Unintended Consequences jumps between Jordan and Mason's singular night of passion to their reunion ten years later and the news she has to share. Mason is a man with three children and a dying wife and is surprised when Jordan shows up at his office, telling him of the daughter they now have. Still in love with both her and his dying wife he is conflicted, mostly as to why it took Jordan so long to tell him. Things change when Jordan shares that their daughter is terminally ill and in desperate need of a liver transplant. Moonbeam of Unintended Consequences by Muffy Wilson is a decent read that manages to straddle the worlds of erotica and family drama. The characters and their passions are larger than life, and firmly ensconced in the entanglements of their world. The writing is quite florid and sometimes I forgot that the book wasn't set in some bygone romantic era and was actually supposed to be quite modern. The language is quite flowery as Wilson leads us through to the heights of passion and the tensions of drama. Good for anyone looking for a light, romantic read.
Reviewed by Lisa McCombs for Readers' Favorite It was appropriately a lovely night when interior designer Jordan Taylor attended the theater to enjoy the sensuous songs of maestro Mason D’Istafrio. The moment he took that stage her breath was captured, her mind entranced, and her body came alive with emotions that must be satisfied. She felt his eyes on her and just knew that he was singing to her only. Following his performance, Mason was also afire with an intense need to find the ravishing beauty who had held him captivated. Surely she wasn’t a figment of his imagination. He must find her. He must have her. And have her he did. Body, mind and soul. She was his and he hers, if only for those fleeting hours after the concert. But they never forgot the passion shared and when ten years later they found themselves face-to-face once again, that shared passion ignited as if time had never separated them. The problem was that Mason was married and Jordan had a child. A critically ill child. Mason’s child. The result of their union in room 457. Muffy Wilson has done it again with Moonbeams of Unintended Consequences. Wilson’s gift of intertwining erotic sex with actual reality has a spellbinding effect that leaves her readers gasping for air. In Moonbeams of Unintended Consequences not only does the story delight in the sensuous descriptions of love and lust, heart strings are ravaged by the plight of children left motherless as well as the fear of losing a child. Fans of Muffy Wilson will enjoy this addition to her growing list of credits.
Reviewed by Tracy Slowiak for Readers' Favorite In a great new offering from author Muffy Wilson, Moonbeams of Unintended Consequences will take readers on a fabulous, sexy and romantic ride that they won't soon forget. When the lovely Jordan meets handsome opera star Mason, their connection is electric from the start. Jordan becomes pregnant, but never tells Mason of their daughter, Lily, not wanting to infringe on his life and his relationship with his wife, whom he reconciled with soon after his passionate encounter with Jordan. But when Lily becomes gravely ill and needs a liver transplant, everything changes. Jordan realizes that Mason may be her only hope, and is willing to do anything to save her daughter's life, even if it means rekindling the dampened desires she has always held for Mason. I very much enjoyed Moonbeams of Unintended Consequences. Author Muffy Wilson has done an excellent job in writing a book that is somehow both a sweet family story and a hot romance, all in one. That certainly is not an easy task, and one that could only be accomplished by a very skillful writer. Any reader who loves a great contemporary romance with real-life characters, not vampires or zombies, should absolutely read Moonbeams of Unintended Consequences. I am very pleased to highly recommend this book. I certainly look forward to reading more from author Muffy Wilson, and hope that she is already hard at work on her next great novel even as we speak!
Reviewed by Trisha Dawn for Readers' Favorite In one passionate night, Jordan and Mason succumb to their desires. It may have only been for one night but for both of them, it will be unforgettable. In Moonbeams of Unintended Consequences by Muffy Wilson, we follow Jordan’s and Mason’s lives after they have satiated their desires for each other. Jordan Taylor has made her dream come true of becoming an interior designer, despite some unexpected turns of events. She was also able to establish her own business. Meanwhile, Mason D’Istrafrio settled his busy schedule and has chosen to stay put more often than travelling for business. Muffy Wilson’s Moonbeams of Unintended Consequences narrates what happened when the two lovers met again after 10 years of not being in contact with each other. I fell in love with Moonbeams of Unintended Consequences. The way Muffy Wilson wrote it, I was compelled to continue reading until I realized that I had read it in full. It was a very sad day for me when I reached the end. Why wouldn’t it be? It was written with class. The love scenes were beautifully described and each word ignited something from within. In addition to that, the story was not all about lovemaking. There was a true sense or idea, too. I was able to pick up a lesson or two from the story itself. Then there were the characters. Jordan was exquisite. She’s this driven, passionate woman that any girl would like to become. I like how committed she was and how dedicated she has become. She’s the epitome of a strong woman. Mason was a gentleman all throughout. His character made me hope for more guys like him in this world. There was also Talia whom I adored. She had her own issues but she was a fighter. She’s really significant in this story. Moonbeams of Unintended Consequences is that one book I would like to read and fall in love with again and again. It’s a must-have not only for the romantics, but also for those who would like to become one.
This story takes the reader on a pleasurable cruise of a renewed romance brought to the reader from the past of two characters. I fell in love with from the beginning to the end of this book. Muffy Wilson as the captain brings us passion and hopes for renewed love through the descriptions she intricately blends, savoring our palettes with delicacies we never forget. We are catered to hopes for a cure for Jordan’s daughter and what it might mean to her long lost lover. Complications seem insurmountable, but with each turn of the page, a new horizon is seen, bringing a mood for hope and continued passion between the main character, Jordan, her daughter, Lily, and the man from her past, who will steal your heart with his compassion, love, and understanding. I was blind by the interracial relationship, observing the man who is more than an ordinary man. He gives us hope for Jordan and Lily. Muffy guides us through treacherous obstacles, only to restore our wishes for her sacred love and survival of her daughter and the resolution of a love affair from the past that is renewed with each page I turned. I full-hearted give Moonbeams and Unintended Consequences 5 Stars. I thoroughly recommend this book to everyone.
