About the Author

Linda Seed, a former journalist, lives in Cambria, California, with her husband, art writer John Seed, and their children. Linda’s romances, including the Main Street Merchants series and the Delaneys of Cambria series, are set on California’s Central Coast. Linda began writing novels early in life, authoring her first—a Breakfast Club–style saga of teenage angst—when she was seventeen. She came to the romance genre considerably later, deciding well into her forties that the world probably already had enough angst and needed stories of love and hope. Her debut novel, Moonstone Beach, was selected as a Barnes & Noble top pick. Linda is a former journalist with more than fifteen years experience at newspapers including the San Diego Union-Tribune, the Ventura County Star, and other publications.

I enjoyed the characters in this book, the storyline, and the humor found within. Glad I took a chance.

I enjoyed reading this book and told others about it. It's an easy read and you can't help but fall in love with the characters. I purchased the second book of the series and enjoyed it as well. I'll be purchasing the third after this review. Thank you Linda and thank you B&N for having the first one free (free Fridays) and getting me hooked! These books were a great read on my beach vacation.

I love these types of stories. Also, enjoyed where the friend spoke with the guy candidly in front of others. That is something that is relatable and heartwarming.

Good story and characters. Story could have gone a bit deeper, but good as is.

The main characters are down to earth people you can relate to. It has it all divorce, death, step mom, friends, and last but not least taking the chance on love. But giving up on your dreams for the chance at love. Ends right when the relationship is about to take off. I hate that.

Finally, a book that read until the end w/o tons of filler pages.

I loved the nook, but, the ending messed it up for me! There was no cliffhanger (thank goodness), but, there wasn't a wrapup either...like just stopped mid paragraph ! !!

The book was great!! Laughed out loud. In many parts. I did NOT like the very end. Like, the last 2 pages. It ended too quick. No, " 6 months later" or anything. That's disappointing. But if a good read for the rest.

Overall I enjoyed the storyline but there were many editing mistakes that made the book a 3 star in my opinion. I read the Nook book and I felt like the transitions between the two characters' stories was abrupt. There were also times when it would be in 3rd person then all of the sudden it would switch to first person. Like I said, I enjoyed the book overall but I would have enjoyed more if it was edited better.

I love Cambria so this was a fun setting for the story. Can't wait to revisit and check out that hiking trail in San Simeon!

I loved watching Kate & Jackson both evolve as characters. Definitely recommend.

I thought Kate was silly at first, but pathetic is more like it. She lets everyone walk all over her, her plans, her home and her business. She and her three friends are simply man hungry chicks.

Using the Lord's name in vain was a real downer. Just saying damn would have been sufficient. I skipped over the sex scenes. I wanted to slap Kate up beside head when she let the two scumbags stay. It was disrespective to her mother's memory.
