About the Author

Chautona Havig lives in the shadow of the Sierra Mountains, and that sounds a lot prettier than "the barren, blistered end of creation," which is really what California's Mojave Desert looks like. Life in the desert is interesting. She even enjoys four seasons there-hot, cold, hotter, and windy. In the desert, those do count as seasons.
