A Book in the Family Series

As a teenager, Charlie "Chase" Rhodes meets Scott Boone and falls head over heels in love with the popular, athletic boy next door. Charlie thinks he's living the dream when Scott says he feels the same way. But his dreams are dashed when Scott moves unexpectedly and doesn't return.

Years later, Charlie meets brash and confident Adan Navarro, who claims all he wants is a round between the sheets. When they’re still together after eight months, Charlie is convinced Adan returns his love. But then the time comes to be open about their relationship, and Adan walks away instead.

Time heals all wounds but when Charlie runs into Scott and Adan and realizes the only two men he's ever loved are now in love with each other, his heart breaks all over again. Scott and Adan tell Charlie they want him back, but Charlie doesn't know if he can trust two people who have hurt him so deeply. And even if he can, why would Scott and Adan want Charlie when they already have everything with each other?

So amazing! Brought all three characters that had brief appearances from the first two books in the Family series into one. The falling in love between Chase/Charlie with first Scott, the Adan was beautiful and sweet. The breaking up of both was sad, and in the case with Adan, so very heartbreaking. The random chance of both of Charlie's only loves becoming a couple and coming back into his life is a bit far-fetched, but believable enough (plus it makes for a great story line). I was hurt for Charlie when he first saw Adan and Scott together at his door, having to see everything that he wanted and thought he lost forever and believing that he wasn't enough for either one of them was heartbreaking. But in the end, they all got their HEA and it was beautiful. Definitely a great addition to the series and one that I will be reading again and again. Very sweet, sad, and hot. 500+ pgs.

First let me say normally I'm not a big fan of first person narration but in this book it worked. It starts out with Charlie doing some scrapbooking and for each picture he put in there was a story behind it. Charlie fell in love with Scott and a few years after Scott left he fell in love again with Adan. Fast forward 15 years after Adan left and he has to move to Reno to raise his sister's two children after she dies. Needing a babysitter one night he opens the door to what could turn into a dream or a nightmare.  This is a tastefully written M/M love and loss story with more than just sex. I really enjoyed how it tied in with the first book and the second.

Loved it! The moment Chase laid eyes on Scott he knew that he was doomed. What developed between them was a friendship based on mutual loyalty, honesty and caring. Their bond developed until one day it became more. Young, care-free and in love, Chase never thought that one day he would have to live without his best-friend and true love. When that day came, his world was turned upside down and his view of life changed. No longer the care-free young man of his teenage years, Chase made a life for himself doing what he loved. He had his hook ups, but never something as deep as the relationship he once shared with Scott. Then in walked Adan. A closed-off, arrogant handsome man, Adan pushed every one of Chase's buttons. But there was something in the way the man carried himself that made Chase curious until he found himself wondering if this new found connection could lead somewhere. But Adan was living buried in a closet full of denial and fear, leaving Charlie with a broken heart. Never one to see the glass as half empty, Charlie made the most out of his life until fate came calling and he reunited with the men that broke his heart. What followed was a story of healing, letting go and learning to trust once again. I loved Chase! He was adorably, sweet, quirky and a hell of all lot of fun. He was honest, emotional and completely in love with Scott. Awww, it was so sweet to see him all flustered whenever Scott was around. Likewise, it was heart-wrenching to see how losing Scott hurt him. By bringing in Adan, I felt a bit if hope that Chase would find his happily ever after. Although the man was irritating, withdrawn and stubborn to a fault, Cardeno made sure I understood where he was coming from. He was more than confused. The man was a mess of massive proportions and in the end he screwed it up - badly. Disappointed with the outcome, but sure that Chase's story had to lead to some kind of happiness, I continued on. It helped that I loved Chase and his outlook in life. His humor and outlook in life was what kept me going. I was NOT going to stop reading until that man got some love. It wasn't surprising to see Scott and Adan come back into the picture. What I was not expecting was the range in emotion these two brought out of Chase. Hurt over everything that had happened between them and seeing Scott and Adan so happy and settled together, showed a different side of Chase that I had not seen before. Not that I blame him. His doubts and hesitations were valid and understandable. I appreciated that Cardeno didn't just wrap it all up with a pretty bow. Nope. Cardeno made all of them work through their issues until they could move forward. Just how I like it! As a fan of Cardeno C this book was everything I was expecting and as a hopeless romantic this story brought about the tears, the smiles and the 'awww' moments I've come to expect from a fantastic romance. Although More Than Everything is the third book in the Family series it can be read as a stand alone.

This book is Chase's story and is set out differently to the others. It is done more as a commentary, as Chase sits at the table scrapbooking, but to find out the whole story, you have to read through the book. It is an interesting way of telling a story and one that I was intrigued with. I enjoyed the story itself, although not as much as Strong Enough or Something In The Way He Needs. However, that is definitely not saying that this book isn't a good read, because it is. You get details from Adan, Scott and Chase as the book progresses, making it easy to see how their relationships worked. Another great read in the Family Series, definitely recommended. * I received this book from WLK Book Promotions in return for a fair and honest review. * Merissa Archaeolibrarian - I Dig Good Books!

I cannot say enough good things about this book! You will fall in love with Charlie. There is so much emotion in this story. I found myself going back to reread passages two or three times because they were so emotion packed that I just had to experience the feelings again. You will not regret buying this book!
