— Elaine Tirrell, MIT, Administrative Assistant, Cambridge, Massachusetts

Lee Pierce is blessed with a romantic soul, a spiritual sense of awe, and a vibrant excitement at every discovery she makes. The original "chance taker," Lee has found through her amazing dolls history, romance, family ties and undreamed-of discoveries.

— Raimond del Noce, Senior Artist, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

About the Author

When LEE LAWRENCE PIERCE was a young girl, her grandfather returned from Japan with a present for her. An inveterate tomboy, she hoped it would be something military, maybe a sword.
Instead, it was an ornately dressed doll in a glass case. The well-mannered child, who had no interest in dolls, eventually discovered her true passion for dolls that had stories to share.

Here are their stories.
