ore than words the new debut novel by author Elle Bryant Henry is a coming of age story surrounding Sixteen Year Old Ansley Stevenson. One thing I love about this story is how real the characters feel from beginning to end. The author not only captures all of Ansley's young teenage angst but also is able to capture the emotional turmoil that surrounds Ansley and how this has taken precedent into her life. I love how Ansely not only has the supportive parents but I love the way she described the times in the 80's and the setting of New Jersey and the relationship with her two sisters and best friend Maxwell. However I love how Author Elle Henry is able to add a love interest in Simon who changes everything for Ansley. This book which is part of a series kept me going from beginning to end. I am excited to read the next!
