The story was pretty good intriguing and the characters were interesting. However, there were so many errors in the nook version it was distracting. There are random numbers in place of letters, spaces in between words and sometimes words that make no sense.

This was a good story but the ending was weak

I watched the movie first, the book is veery different. Makes you wonder what really happened.

Poorly proofread, but if you get past that, it's a good fictionalized account of a true, unresolved American tragedy.

This book is actually what happened in my town (Villisca,Ia) about 100 years ago and its pretty cool all the history of iowa

Numerous errors you can assume what was intended but all the errors are distracting I don't know if all these errors are in the book in print but what I have om nook is atrocious! Also book should not be hyped on a true story loosely based maybe.

The Villisca axe murders is one of America's most enduring unsolved crimes. MRR is an infectious read you can't put down. It is also a great literary quality introducing a slew of characters while it examines life in a small town in addition to solving the mass murder.
