MRS™ The MANual is thought to provoke. Today, raising boys to be positive men is heavily impact by music, games, and social media, internal and external influences that can enlighten or hinder their growth. It has become essential to equip our boys and mothers on how to handle situations that are having an adverse impact on their lives. Recognizing that male's and female's brains are wired differently.
Mothers Raising Sons™ The MANual is not a cure for all the issues of mothers raising sons, but it is a step in the right direction. Many boys raised by single mothers, without their fathers or a positive male role model grow up to be fine men with exceptional abilities, dignity and character. Mothers know it is hard to raise children alone even more so with boys, but it has been done.
There are many prominent men that applaud their mother or grandmother for planting the seeds of success during the rough years especially the teenage years. Mothers usually deal with it through tears and worry but through it all, make it.
The MANual book is intended to be used as a reference guide to mothers raising sons' household and not as a medical or psychology manual at no means. None of the articles are from professional consultants, psychologists, or legal attorneys. These are the testimonies and words of wisdom from others that have dealt with the issues at hand. The information given in this book is designed to give suggestions and ideas on how to address and deal with issues and concerns in raising male children. It is a book of life skills based upon real life situations from all over the United States. This book is broken down by subjects to assist any females or males being raised by a female.

About the Author
Lisa Norwood, oldest of eight siblings, a single mother of three sons was searching for an organization that would provide educational support for mothers on rearing boys and mentoring for her sons. She had no family in Georgia, and her sons desired and needed a positive male role model in their life. Being employed as a supervisor in a juvenile court system, she was aware of numerous programs for boys already in the system but nothing to prevent them from becoming a first time offender. After witnessing an extensively high volume of males being raised by females alone in the juvenile system, it became apparent that there was a need for a support organization. Extensive research was conducted throughout the Atlanta metro area of the needed services, and the response was overwhelmingly in favor to start a program. She stepped out on faith and resigned from her management position despite everyone's opinion and birthed Mothers Raising Sons, Inc. a 501 (c) 3 non-profit organization in 1999.
God gave her 7 volumes based on real life experiences for family relations, parenting, marriages and where is my daddy. Be a part of the village by expressing your experiences and giving advice.
