Overview

Between new clients and governmental contracts, Trident Security has grown in leaps and bounds. To accommodate the increased caseload, they've added a second team to their Tampa headquarters. After hiring seven "best of the best" from military and law enforcement backgrounds, they've put together a cracker-jack group of six men and one woman. But before they are turned out to handle their own missions, they must first prove they are a cohesive and capable unit.

Dropped into the Rocky Mountains, the Omega team has minimal supplies and two days to make it back to civilization. But what they find in the wilderness turns a training op into a real one. Will they all make it back alive?

***This novella is a bridge between the original Trident Security (TS) Series and the spin off series, Trident Security Omega Team. While it is not necessary to read the original TS series or this prequel before the Omega Team series, it will give the reader more insight and background of the members of Trident Security.

Meet the Author

Samantha A. Cole is a retired policewoman and former paramedic who is thrilled to add author to her list of exciting careers. She has lived her entire life in the suburbs of New York City and is looking forward to becoming a snow-bird between New York and Florida someday. Her two fur-babies, Jinx and Bella, keep her company and remind their mom to take a break from writing every once in a while to go for a walk, which is the best way to deal with a stubborn case of writer’s block.

An avid reader since childhood, Samantha was often found with a book in hand and sometimes one in each. After being gifted with a stack of romance novels from her grandmother, her love affair with the genre began in her teens. Many years later, she discovered her love for writing stories was just as strong. Taking her life experiences and training, she strives to find the perfect mix of suspense and romance for her readers to enjoy.

While the original planned stories for the Trident Security series have been completed, the seven novels and two novellas have brought many opportunities for Samantha to spread her wings and bring her readers more characters and stories to love. Look for her upcoming Trident Security Omega Team series, Doms of The Covenant Novella series, Blackhawk Security series, and more from the Malone Brothers series, in addition to several stand alone projects.

What can I say? Samantha Cole has done it again! This is an amazing novella introducing the members of the Omega Team of Trident Security in depth for the first time. It is the beginning of the Omega Team's story. It's thrilling & will keep you on the edge of your seat from beginning to end. The seven men & women comprising the Omega Team of Trident Security are ready for their final shakedown mission to determine if they're ready to operate on their own. They've been training together with both the Alpha Team & Trident Security West for months * & now they finally have their chance to prove themselves as a team. Their mission: dropping into a sparsely-populated area of the Rocky Mountains in Colorado with minimal equipment and rations. They must make it through the harsh, unforgiving terrain with a single satellite phone for use in emergencies only (broken bones don't count) & they have a limited amount of time to accomplish this mission. The Omega Team has no sooner been dropped from their helicopter & left on their own when the first hiccup in their mission is discovered. A local hiker has gone missing with no evidence as to what happened to her. It's as if she vanished from the face of the earth. There's no trace of her anywhere. The leader of the Alpha Team, Ian "Boss-Man" Sawyer contacts the team & tells them of the hiker situation but informs them they are to still remain on mission. It's a sticky situation & the Omega Team must become the cohesive unit they've trained to be in order to succeed. Can this team work together not only to complete their mission on time but to find & rescue the missing hiker? The stakes are high & the unknown factors even higher! During the course of the mission, you learn the backstory of each individual member of the Omega Team. If you've read the entire Trident Security series, you've met the Omega Team members before but you've never learned exactly how they were recruited for the Omega Team & what their motivations are for being a part of the elite Trident Security Company. To say that each individual character is fascinating is an understatement. Each has his or her own unique reason for being a part of this unit. They all have their demons but they're all equally dedicated to succeed. Failure is not an option for any member of the Omega Team. This book is full of unexpected twists & turns. It held my attention from the very first word. Quite frankly, I couldn't put the book down! I stayed up all night to finish it because I had to know how the story was going to end. Samantha Cole, with her background in law enforcement & her absolute attention to detail in every aspect of every book she writes, is a superb storyteller. Her work is riveting. It is very evident from the caliber of her writing that she researches whatever subject matter she might not have personal experience with until she is as conversant with that material as the experts she obviously consults. I'm an admitted bibliophile & have read just about every genre of fiction out there. I do not exaggerate when I say that Samantha Cole is one of the very best authors I have ever read. While each book in the series can be read as a standalone book, I would highly recommend you read each Trident Security series book in order, including the novellas, so as not to miss any of the recurring characters & their roles in the series. This book is every bit as wonderful as the previous books in this series & I would HIGHLY recommend it!

This novella is a bridge between the original Trident Security Series and the spin off series, Trident Security Omega Team. While it is not necessary to read this prequel before the Omega Team series, it will give the reader more insight and background of the new operatives of Trident Security and their support team. The new team has six men and one woman. They are sent out into the wilderness to prove their "ready" status to their agency. While out there, a girl goes missing. Can this team find her and all get home safely? This was a short jaunt into the new series about the team created by the Trident Security owners. I loved how the author brought all the team members personalities into it. I especially enjoyed some of the foreshadowing into books to come. I cannot wait for the next installment in the Trident Security Omega Team series. ***This early copy was given in exchange for an honest review.

This novella is introducing us to the Trident Security Omega Team. They are seven of the 'Best of the Best'. In this book we get to know who they are, an insight into their backgrounds and their strengths. I'm really looking forwarded to getting to know these team members more in depth in future books. On a training mission they are dropped by helicopter to a remote are of the Rocky Mountains and the objective is for them to work as a team to hike out of there. While there they are notified that there is a missing hiker, Mallory Hart and the intrigue begins. I really like that we get to Mallory's story along with the Omega team members. It just made it so 'real'. I was really scared for her. This book doesn't have the sizzling sex in it that is so amazing in the Trident Security books but I did not miss it. I was really drawn into the suspense and the intrigue of this book. I absolutely loved it.
