What is God willing to reveal to a man who is desperate enough to go outside the security of the camp, to climb the highest mountain, in order that he might receive even a glimpse of the heavenly vision That vision is no less than His Son. The true Mountain of God will always bear witness, saying, "This is my beloved Son, with whom I am well-pleased; hear Him!" From this mountain, apart from human influence, God reveals His eternal purposes through His Son. It may very well cost a man everything, while the only thing he acquires with certainty is a "thorn in the flesh" to ensure his brokenness is complete. Why does he do it He is compelled out of a passion for His Lord, His people, and to see God's purposes fulfilled on earth, to the glory of God. "Hence, let us go out to Him outside the camp, bearing His reproach." These writings are born out of that experience, on a mountain outside the camp.
