My boyfriend is getting married.

Okay, technically he's my ex-boyfriend. Two months ago he decided he wanted a break. I still thought he was my happily ever after.

On any other day, knowing he was gone for good would be the worst thing that could possibly happen.
But not today.

Because not only is my boyfriend getting married—his bride is my best friend.

And they've sent me an invitation.

There's no way I'm going to attend. I don't care if it's in beautiful Scotland.

Nothing and no one could convince me.

Not even when a deliciously handsome stranger tells me he needs to go as my plus one.

Not even when he shoots me a wickedly, sexy smile.

But then he offers me the opportunity of a lifetime—a dream come true. How can I say no?

But I have one condition. He has to be my new boyfriend. I mean, my pretend new boyfriend.

I'm about to find out that faking it can be a whole lot of fun.

A stand-alone, contemporary romance.

This book was well written with a great plot and great characters. This was yet another hit from one of my favorite authors. There's a reason why I always read her books. Beck and Stella, our main couple, were just lovely and had excellent chemistry. They kept me entertained from start to finish. Beck was especially adorable. It was so easy to fall in love right along with Beck and Stella. The side characters were warm and funny. They were good for lots of extra laughs and words of wisdom. I loved nearly everything about this story. There was a couple things I would have liked to see done differently but nothing to make love the book any less. I wish Stella had stood up for herself more with the ex-boyfriend. Also, there were a couple parts of the intimate scenes I found to be a little unrealistic but that could just be me. I don't know everything there is to know. Lastly, while the author clearly wove Beck's back story into the book, Stella's background was less detailed. Regardless of my opinions, I would recommend this book and the author to all. I'm giving this book 4.5 stars.

You definitely need to read this book! One of the best books I've read this year (and I've read a lot)! It was beautifully written and the story had everything you want a great romance to have! I swooned over Beck instantly and have officially claimed my very first book boyfriend! I received an ARC of this book and am willingly giving my honest review!

Humorous, Sexy, Emotional...this book is ALL the good things I love to read! With Mr. Mayfair, Louise Bay continues to delight her readers with an engaging and well written story, and truly likeable characters. There is nothing about this book that I didn't enjoy. That's a big statement, but this book earned it! A reread is already planned, and if you love audiobooks, don't miss this one....Soooo good!

I loved Beck and Stella. The fake relationship that quickly becomes more because all of their walls and expectations are down with each other. Loved the banter. Can’t wait for more from this world. Full of heart, steam, and connection.

Mr. Mayfair is one of the most swoon-worthy stories I've read in a long time. A hero not to caught up with himself. A heroine funny and willing to take as much as she gives. A disaster wedding week and a building off the block take two strangers to a cross roads they never expected. How often do you find unabashed millionaires in stories? I swear every time his grin or smile was described I wanted to grin that wide myself. It just made my heart happy. He was so fierce and loyal, but not full of himself at the same time. He saw Stella's worth from first glance and fought for her the way a real man should. Stella? Just her name made me smile. I really just loved her name. And her personality just fit the name perfectly. She just needed to see that men could be more after being with her ex tool of a boyfriend! These two fit together like a puzzle. Piece after piece became a picture we all love to read about. And let me tell you something, these two were hot, hot, hot. Lots of face fanning here. I loved Mr. Mayfair and can't wait to read Dexter's story next. Bring on the guys stories, I'm ready, willing and able!

I love romances with a big city vibe, and Mr. Mayfair by Louise Bay has all that and more. This book primarily takes place in London, and the views from the penthouse are simply amazing. The two main characters, Stella and Beck, come together to further their respective careers, and end up falling in love. This book may be enjoyed as a standalone. Up until two months ago, Stella was content, living with her boyfriend of seven years. Stella is a giver, and puts everyone and everything ahead of her own happiness. So imagine her surprise when she receives an invite to her ex's wedding! And her ex is marrying her best friend! Stella just thought they were taking a time out from each other. Nevertheless, she was terribly hurt and sad. She even gave up her interior design business for her ex, when they moved to London for his new job. Beck is a very successful businessman. Despite his humble upbringing, he is loaded, thanks to his real estate conglomerate. With the exception of one neglected building, he owns the entire Mayfair area. Buying the vacant building has become both a personal and professional goal. Getting the building owner's attention has been next to impossible, however, attending the wedding of the owner's relative is the "in" he needs to start a conversation. Meeting Stella and convincing her to take him to the wedding is a hard sell, however, she agrees to it when he agrees to letting her design his newest building. They truly get to know each other while spending a week together before the nuptials. Although this story got off to a slow start, I really enjoyed it. Ms. Bay does a nice job of introducing and developing the characters. Stella and Beck are a delightful pair, both in and out of the bedroom. Their sexy times are hot. Overall, a solid read with a wonderful epilogue. Complimentary copy provided.

Stella and Beck's story really hit all of my emotions. Stella is the kind of person who gives so much to others that she loses sight of what she truly wants. Losing Matt which caused Beck to come storming into her life was the best thing that could have happened to her. This story gave me every feeling and I fell head over heals for this couple and became extremely protective of them and the devils that are Matt and Karen. This was a fantastic read and I loved every minute of it. The storytelling is spot on and the story pulled at my heartstrings. Great read.

Mr. Mayfair by Louise Bay is a brand new standalone contemporary romance set in London and told in dual POV between Stella London and Beck Wilde. This book is romantic and steamy and also a little sad. The drama surrounding Stella's ex-boyfriend and her best friend and their wedding she was shockingly invited to was sad in a way most of us can say we can commiserate with. Whether he cheated, lied, deceived or was just an ass, we have all had those icky feelings of being betrayed at some point in our lives but the way she blossoms with Beck at her side. It's magical. More so because it isn't Beck doing it for her - but she is changing and realizing her own value by herself just with Beck's encouragement. The week in Scotland was beautifully written - the plot twists were well-done and the happy ending was hard-earned. I am more than excited to read about the rest of Beck's friends and with confirmation that Dexter's book is next- I can't wait! Enjoy!

Oh my! I need a fan!!! I don't know how she does it but Louise keeps blowing my mind with her books. She makes the story feel like I am there in London. The main male character is my new book boyfriend. The main female character, Stella London, gets a shock when her ex-boyfriend and friend are suddenly engaged and getting married. She finds out from another friend. Who would want to go to that wedding?? I know I wouldn't want to be there. Stella wasn't planning on it but that changes. The main male character, Beck Wilde, who is a businessman trying to get to a wedding that someone important is going to. He needs to make this important contact to advance his business. Can Beck find a way to coax Stella into taking him to the wedding? Can they help each other out? You will have to find out when you read the story!

I think what I liked most about this fake relationship romance was that I could connect with it so easily. I mean, let's face it, we all go through those times where everything is going wrong and you are trying desperately to convince yourself that things have to get better and yet the punches just keep coming. That is exactly the position Stella finds herself in. I'll be honest and say that initially I felt that Stella was too niave and as such, I thought she was a bit annoying. Yet, as the story unfolded and I got to know her better I genuinely grew to like her. She deserved better than what she was getting and fate finally smiled on her and sent her all the perfection that was Beck. Beck was one-hundred percent ovaries exploding, be still my heart, swoon worthy deliciousness. These two were so sweet together. She was everything he wanted, he was everything she deserved but most importantly they were everything the other needed. I found that it was simply impossible not to fall in love with these two as their slow burn story played out.

One of Louise Bay's best work! Another phenomenally written book by Louise Bay! The way she builds her characters and creates a beautiful world that makes it relatable. Beck and Stella are my new favorite couple! Fake relationships are one of my favorite tropes. Louise has done this trope justice!! These two characters have fantastic banter. This book is sexy, swoon-worthy, little sassy and heartwarming. But does Beck and Stella end up with a HEA? There's one way to find out.... READ THE BOOK!!

Fake boyfriend romance story at it best. I love Louise Bay books, but this one is definitely on her top best ones to read. Stella was betrayed by her boyfriend and best friend, when she gets invitation to the wedding she doesn't know what to do, but then comes Beck and he makes her an offer she can't refuse. They both never see love coming their way. You will find yourself reading it until the end, the emotions you will go through will see that you won't stop reading it. The chemistry is there, the steamy scenes, but more than that the story behind both characters is the one that I loved the most and found myself loving them more for it. The circumstances of what they brought them together at the end will always be one you will totally approve for. A must read definitely.

Louise has done it again, written a book that was absolutely UNPUTDOWNABLE!! I LOVE fake relationship tropes and this one had me hanging onto every word of this sexy, sassy, swoon-worthy read. Beck and Stella were fun, witty, loveable......I didn't want their story to end but I'm so excited that there will be more to come from their friends!

When I saw the cover for Mr. Mayfair a few weeks ago, I just knew I was going to love it. It just screams LONDON to me. Always a fan of Louise Bay and this one is no exception. Louise spoils her readers with another yummy Brit and feisty young woman that capture you from the just reading the blurb. Stella finds out her very newly ex boyfriend is getting married to one of her childhood best friends. Still reeling, she meets Beck, a man on a mission that's needing Stella to make a very important introduction. Beck pretty much tells Stella she can write her own ticket and to make this introduction happen by taking him as her plus one to this wedding. What starts as just two strangers trying to get what they want leads to the always important happily ever after. New characters are introduced and I can't wait for the next book.

And it's official: this is my favorite book by Louise Bay! This is a fake relationship romance and I don't think I ever loved this trope so much as I do now. Stella is facing one heck of a humiliation. After loving and nurturing his boyfriend for years, even without realizing they were indeed over, after only two months, she receives a wedding invitation of dear boyfriend and aleggedly best friend. Being devasted, confused and humiliated is an understatement. Beck, in his own way, is also familiarized with rejection since his birth, and Stella's ex is exactly the kind of person he wants nothing to do with. But to right some wrongs and to feel better again, they need to join forces and face the wedding from a couple. The deal is quite simple: they pretend to be a couple in love, she eases him to get the property he needs, and in exchange he helps her build her business again and face the evil groom and bride. It could be easy, if it weren't for the demon-couple getting married and their feelings getting in the way. They were both burnt deeply, they are afraid of letting people in (with good reason). But more than that: after spending time together, they are scared of their feelings for each other. Their connection and chemistry come so naturally. They have an easy banter, as if they have known each other for years. They truly enjoy each other's company, they root for each other, they bring the best out of each other and they amazingly respect each other. This book brought such a sensitive topic about abusive relationship. Stella was abused for years by both Matt (her ex-boyfriend) and Karen (her so called best friend), but not phisically, so it was way harder for her to realize she was being abused and belittled. But being with Beck, even if by pretending at first, showed her what a respectful relationship is suposed to be like. And what started as a pretend turns out to be very real. It was so pretty seeing Beck and Stella together, how they cared about each other so deeply. One's fight was important for the other, and the other's hurt was a fuel for the one to make things right. They were a match, they fit, they were right for each other. They faced their fears and insecurities because they knew some things were worth fighting for and there were prizes you just couldn't let go. My heart is still fulled and I miss this characters already (I just hope we get to see Beck's friend's stories and then we get to see Beck and Stella can hope!).

Oh how I wish I could be in one of Ms. Bay's books! She writes about England and Scotland so beautifully, and with the knowledge that Americans are reading it too.  There is English slang, but it's easy to pick up on. I even felt a right bit smarter after reading it! So this is the lovely story of Beck and Stella. Two folks that need the other in a bit of an unorthodox way.  They are both getting what they want out of the deal they struck and then they get so much more. I was heartbroken for Stella at first, then when she found her inner fire and her strength, I was cheering her on hard!  She was no fragile English rose, she had thorns too!  I could empathize with her vulnerabilities and her issues of trust.  I mean who wouldn't have their foundation rocked if the same thing had happened to them. Beck, oh you dodgy fellow!  Beck thought he was living the charmed life.  He was determined to do what he had to to get what he wanted, no matter what the cost.  But was the price too high? You get beautiful descriptions of locations throughout Scotland in this story, you get the charm and cosmopolitan feeling of London too.  Ms. Bay has a magic to her words, she fully immerses her readers into her stories and that's a true testament to talented writing. This book was delightful and will give you all the feels! Get your hands on it!

YOU NEED THIS!! Loved Mr Mayfair! Oh man! Louise Bay sure knows how to write! Mr Mayfair is now officially my number one favourite of hers ... that is until the next book she releases, of course! (I say this each and every time, lol)! Beck and Stella's story is one you’re going to love! When Stella's life unexpectedly gets turned upside down, Beck comes to the rescue. He's a knight in shining armour any girl would happily welcome - he's a complete dream! The side characters in the book are fantastic! Florence is the perfect friend to Stella, and Beck's group of friends put a huge smile on my face! Another brilliant read that's hard to put down. Mr Mayfair is a complete standalone, and one I highly recommend you read. It's absolutely brilliant – 5 stars!
