Mr. Romantic: A Mister Standalone by JA Huss

Charm is the key to the world.
Charisma, magnetism, sex appeal--that 'it' factor that can't be described.
Nolan Delaney has it is spades.
The infamous Mr. Romantic.
And maybe he is out of my league... But I'm going to give it the old college try anyway. Because I didn't travel two thousand miles for a job interview at his request just to be put out like trash.
Don't underestimate me, Mr. Delaney.
I'm really not as innocent as I look.

Not what I expected but very pleasantly surprised! I loved the fantasy to tell the real story. The description of what Ivy was feeling and Nolan throughout the story was on point. The first book in the series was just as intriguing. Looking forward to the next ones. Couldn't put it down. A really great read!

J.A. Huss is one of my all time favorite authors ever. EVER. And with each book I read from her I am reminded why. Her mind astounds me. The story she rights are truly one-of-a-kind. Every time we think we have it all figured out, she throws in the next twist. Her readers cannot get enough. And I am one of them. In Mr. Romantic, we meet the next Mister. Nolan Delaney. The infamous Mr. Romantic. Mr. Romantic took a very different path than Mr. Perfect. He wanted to prove himself and be successful. His attitude one a big middle finger to everyone who judged him and continued to judge him. He lived his life the way he wanted too. How we wanted too. With no apologies to anyone. Ivy Rockwell is fresh out of college, sweet and a darling. She is the epitome of the preacher's' daughter. She reeked innocence. She did not stand a chance with a man like Mr. Romantic.. NOT ONE CHANCE! Ivy just graduated college and is struggling to find a position. And now she finds herself vying for an elite position she should not even be in the running for and never applied for. But not one to walk away from a chance of a lifetime, she decide to go all in. All in means finding herself right smack in front of Nolan Delaney, AKA Mr. Romantic, and being way over her head. WAY OVER HER HEAD! The man she comes to know twists her in ways she never expected. At times she see the man accused of a horrible thing and who walked away from it when he shouldn't have and at others a man who could never had committed any of it. And Nolan finds himself intrigued by the sweet and innocent Ivy. A man who never settles is now finding himself not wanting to let Ivy go. EVER. But can she believe in him or does she believe what is said about him? To earn her trust, he starts to be honest with her and reveals his deepest and darkest secrets. Secrets that can have her running far away from him. But he is wiling to gamble it all to see if Ivy is the woman he thinks she is. Now Nolan and Ivy find themselves in the middle of someone else's game and trying to figure out the puzzle before it is too late. Do they stand a chance? It is so worth reading to find out. J.A. Huss knows how to tell a story that grabs you and just never let's you go. Her stories will keep you guessing until the very end. No matter if she is giving you dark and taboo, sweet and light, or somewhere in the middle. In this installment of the Mister series, we begin to unravel the story of that night ten years ago and begin to really know all the Misters. With every piece of information we get, we find ourselves with ore questions. There are so many questions and so many uncertainties and I just know it will take until the very last book, very last sentence to get there. And her readers will love every minute of it! I loved Ivy. I loved seeing a sweet and innocent heroine. She truly was. But she also showed a bit of her strong and feisty side. When pushed into a corner, she stood up for herself and showed she could stand right there with anyone. Nolan was not a nice guy. He was so affected about what happened and what he//they were accused of, he had decided n0 one else mattered anymore but him. He did not owe anyone anything. But even as we saw this cocky and arrogance side of him, through Ivy's eyes we begin to see another. One we could and would root for. He definitely won my heart! I loved this book and read it one sitting. There is just no other way to read one of he

Mr. Romantic. Nolan. Wow. While Mr. Romantic IS a standalone, I highly recommend reading it after Mr. Perfect, as there are some slight spoilers for the book. Ms. Huss wrote a unique, beautiful, dirty, taboo romance story with Mr. Romantic. Ivy and Nolan have an unusual meeting due to outside forces. Their sexual tension is apparent right off the bat and sticks with them through the book. As I've come to expect from JA Huss book, there are twists and turns the reader never expects. You are kept on the edge of your seat until the very last word. Then get ready for Ms. Huss to do it again. 5 big fun sexy stars! *I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review*

Holy moly, JA Huss! How do you come up with this stuff? Mr. Romantic is incredible! The characters Ms. Huss writes are so provocative and sincere and so over the top, but real at the same time. They draw you right into the story and then you never want to quit reading. Nolan is raw and real and so bad, he's good. Ivy is innocent and naive, with a wild streak even she wasn't fully aware of. Together, these two characters are nothing short of explosive... and I was more than willing to get burned. The plot continues to thicken for the Misters. I can't wait to see what happens next! This book was everything! It was shameless and sensuous and intriguing and compelling. It makes no apologies. I was absolutely riveted from start to finish! I would highly recommend this book, and I wait now, none too patiently, for the release of Mr. Corporate. * I was given an ARC of this book in exchange for my honest review. All opinions are my own.

Totally WOW! This had me interested from the start. Then it had me hooked, until I.Could.Not.Put.It.Down! This was emotionally intense, raw, thought provoking, I was on the edge of my seat reading, literally. I absolutely had to know what was going to happen next, and was happily awed at times, and totally shocked at several of the twists, until the twists made total sense. I could definitely re-read this, I just need to come down from the emotional high first.

Heart-rending and heart pounding read! You may need a defibrillator! Mr. Romantic, book two in J.A. Huss’ Misters Series, is not a sunny office rom-com like book one, Mr. Perfect. The story “Mr. Romantic” is just as dark, haunted and shattered as main character Nolan Delaney. A formal invitation mysteriously presented is an intriguing start to the story of the infamous Mr. Romantic. Recent college graduate, Ivy, is a smart chick academically but she has been living a narrowly defined life. While the invitation Ivy receives is a little odd, it’s just the opportunity she needs to kick start her life and broaden her horizons. From that beguiling beginning, the layers of “things that don’t add up” are subtly added. There is a perfect balance of romance and suspense tension to keep the reader guessing about the direction of the story. Before the end of the book, I had placed almost every character on my list of possible antagonists and took few off. Speaking of the end…I didn’t see it coming! Huss consistently takes her stories on paths and destinations that I never anticipate but always enjoy. Mr. Romantic does include a consensual, dark, erotic fantasy. The dual point of view narrative added greatly to the intensity of this story aspect, and it magnified the trust and relationship development between Ivy and Nolan. It’s not necessarily easy to read, but it is tantamount to not only Ivy and Nolan’s story, but also to the story arc of the entire series. Huss treats the topic and characters within this intense scene with sensitivity and respect. Don’t be tempted to skim, read it looking for the clues in the details; they will show you the truth. What is the truth? When you reach the end of the book you’ll know, or at least you will see more of the Misters puzzle. Huss’ attention to detail makes her stories come alive. She drew me in with detailed business plans, vividly described hot, dry desert winds, raw, jagged, emotions, and characters who continue to be haunted by the specters of their past. I’m completely invested in the journey to discover who wants to let the Misters’ skeletons out of the closet and why.

OK let me pick my mouth off the floor and shake my thoughts out. HOLY HELL did I just read that?! I'm beginning to think that Julie A Huss should really have her own warning label........... I don't even know how to review Julie's books anymore I feel like I don't do them justice. I could not put this book down once I started, I couldn't turn the pages fast enough, I pulled an all nighter. Julie is very honest and letting people know there is a rape fantasy in this book but there is a build up to it and plenty of warning when it will happen. So if you have things that cause triggers and want to read there is plenty of time to stop and skip over. And I don't many that can do it as well as Julie did. I wasn't sure what I was going to think or feel about this story, I shouldn't have doubted. I loved this book! I loved the storyline, characters created, the chemistry (holy hell) is panty melting. I loved Ivy's sass and determination and that she was able to hold her own. I wanted to dislike Nolan he was cocky, arrogant, pushy and at times I wanted to reach through the pages and slap him myself but then I also wanted to hug him as well. As the story unfolded my heart broke for him. This book is filled with so much anticipation and will have your head hurting, lol trying to figure things out. This book can be read as a standalone even though part of a series, it's told in the POV of the main characters and is so worth your time....

This book is not for the faint of heart. If your afraid to push boundaries and test limits, this book is not for you. If you're like me and love a story that thinks outside the norm and isn't afraid to address a taboo subject than this is the book for you. I love the uniqueness of this story. The first thing you need to know is THIS IS A STANDALONE. The second thing you need to know is this is a classic Huss book. I was freaking out all the way to the last page. It has the suspense that only Huss can give. It has the heat only Huss can give. I'm telling you, this book pushes a lot of sexual limits and it does so flawlessly.

ARC received from author in exchange for an honest review Synopsis: Charm is the key to the world. Charisma, magnetism, sex appeal—that ‘it’ factor that can’t be described. Nolan Delany has it is spades. The infamous Mr. Romantic. And maybe he is out of my league… But I’m going to give it the old college try anyway. Because I didn’t travel two thousand miles for a job interview at his request just to be put out like trash. Don’t underestimate me, Mr. Delaney. I’m really not as innocent as I look. Hello, Nolan Delany, or should I call you Mr. Romantic? Another stand-alone part to the Mister series and you have to read this. But please be forewarned... This book may cause you to need a support group after finishing this book. If you cannot handle fantasy scenes or role-play scenarios, this book isn't for you. This book does include a fantasy rape scene and if you cannot handle that, we will have a problem. But when you see JA Huss's name come up, you are already warned because JA Huss is very twisty. But I mean, that is why we, Shrikers have come together because we are twisted in the mind. But JA Huss knows how to put it into words. Mr. Romantic will make you feel a rollercoaster of emotions. Especially when the aforementioned scene plays out. But this is a book that I would read over and over again. My heart palpitates for him and this book because it will As always, JA Huss ties in her other books to the story as always and damn, it is fantastic. I would definitely read the story from Mr. Perfect to this because although it is a stand-alone, it is still crucial to know each and everyone of these characters. I fell in love with Mr. Romantic because he sure as hell romanced me out of my shoes and such. When you learn more and more about Nolan, the more and more you fall in love with him. 5 out of 5 Romantic stars as you see the story unfold even further. Blog you later, awesome book nerds.

Mr. Romantic isn't what he appears to be; but then, who is? Ivy certainly isn't and that makes for some interesting scenes between them. I'm looking forward to seeing how the rest of this series plays out. Great book, don't miss out!
