When Michael and Cheryl Morse slowly drifted apart amid an empty nest, her diagnosis of multiple sclerosis, his symptoms of PTSD, and the grief of losing their two beloved dogsput down on the same day three years priorit became apparent their lives were in need of a little joy. Mr. Wilson’s story begins in Arkansas, where he was left in a leaky, drafty barn for daysthe result of a child who couldn’t care for him and a woman who wouldn’t. An escape artist, he eventually found himself on a country road where he was discovered by a neighbor. Familiar with his current living conditions, she took him in, cleaned him up, and created an online adoption profile for him. In Rhode Island, Cheryl Morse clicked on Mr. Wilson’s photo and instantly fell in love.
A few days later, Mr. Wilson arrived in Rhode Island by a tractor trailer full of dogs needing homes. Upon meeting the Morses, he was happy, affectionate, and excitedbut how long would it last? Would they be able to care for him and themselves? Had he finally found his forever home? What if they had cats?

About the Author
Michael Morse is a retired firefighter who received the Robert and Margaret MacColl Johnson Fellowship from the Rhode Island Foundation this past year. He is the author of Rescuing Providence and Responding as well as numerous essays. He is a monthly columnist on the websites Fire Engineering and EMS World. He resides in Warwick, Rhode Island.
Cheryl Morse lives in Rhode Island with her family, owns a local business, and enjoys taking care of the people and animals in her life that depend on her.

Page Turner Alert: You will be lucky to put this book down for food/water/phones . . .This is an honest, informational, heartwarming, inspirational book about personal, and family, transitions and about the magic adding a new canine spirit to the mix can bring to a home. Adoptive dog owners will totally connect to Mr. Morse's descriptions of the realities and excitement of welcoming home a new dog via this new 21st century "southern->northern" state transport phenomenon, and Rhode Islanders will indulge in his descriptions of the state's capital city and the natural beauty of Narragansett Bay. All who read Mr. Wilson Makes it Home will be more likely to embrace our responsibility to care for the animals of this planet in the future!
This book is such a wonderful story. It is about WAY more than a sweet dog finding a great forever home! This book touches all your emotions...It will make you LAUGH OUT LOUD and want to cry.....then make you laugh again! What a wonderful story.....ITS A MUST READ!!
