About the Author

Dr. Hitesh Vasudev is a Professor in the School of Mechanical Engineering, Lovely Professional University, Phagwara, Punjab, India. He received his Ph.D. degree in 2018 from Guru Nanak Dev Engineering College, Ludhiana, India. His research areas include surface engineering/thermal spraying; development of nano-structured, multi-modal, high-entropy alloys coatings for high temperature oxidation and corrosion resistance; Thermal Barrier Coatings (TBCs); and microwave processing of materials. Dr. Vasudev has contributed extensively to thermal spray coatings in repute journals. He won the Research Excellence Award in 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022, 2024 and 2024 at Lovely Professional University. He has written 150+ papers, 15 conference papers, and 10 books. Dr. Vasudev has been granted a patent titled “High-Temperature Oxidation and Erosion Resistant Alloy-718/Al2O3 Composite Coatings.”

Dr. Gurbhej Singh is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Amritsar Group of Colleges, Punjab, India. Dr. Singh earned his PhD degree in Mechanical Engineering from CT University Ludhiana, Punjab, India. He specializes in surface engineering with a focus on microwave claddings, processing of materials using microwave energy, materials characterization, surface biomedical implants, biomaterials processing, polymeric composites, and nanocomposites. He has published more than 20 papers and contributed to numerous conference papers and book chapters. Dr. Singh is actively involved in the research community, serving as a reviewer for research articles. He has over ten years of teaching experience and has guided many M-Tech Students. Dr. Singh is Guest Editor of many journals, and he has organized a 2024 National Conference in STEM.
