Clever twist on Holmes has him meeting and aiding Harry Houdini. One of a newer series of Holmes tribute tales. While not measuring up to the originals, it does capture the flavour of the Holmes/Watson partnership, and in fact, gives Watson the credit he is due. Pleasurable rainy day read. Would like to read others in this new series.

If you would like more Sherlock Holmes read this. The stories are fun, and more concise than the original tales but the characters are true and the tales entertaining.

An excellent collection of modern-day mystery writers who offer their own versions of "Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson". I recommend it to all who enjoy the "Baker Street Detective"!

All the authors of the stories of Sherlock Holmes do a great job weaving new crimes for him to solve. Each one is so like A C Doyle's style of literary writing. The info at the back on ACD is really an education! Sherlock Holmes lives on!

As an avid Sherlock Holmes fan, I love reading stories about this most intriguing and intelligent detective. In Murder in Baker Street, we again find this master slueth doing what he does best - finding the biggest clues in the tiniest of details. This book is a compilation of current authors taking their turn at writing short stories about our hero. Writing GOOD short stories is an art that is more difficult than it appears. Several of these authors did a super job bringing new life to Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's famous character. Some got creative and had the narrator be a character other than Dr. Watson who is our frequent story bearer. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and it is a nice addition to my collection.
