About the Author

Marie Colligan is an award-winning author. Four of her short stories received prizes, two 1st place awards and two Honorable Mentions all awarded by a national writers' magazine.

Her poetry and prose has appeared in the military magazine, "O-Dark-Thirty" and several of her non-fiction articles have appeared in various antique journals and women's magazines in the past.

She is a member of the local Barony of the Society for Creative Anachronism where she plays her medieval persona, Mirielle Cartwright, and her postings written under that name have been reprinted from her blog medievalme3.blogspot.com in the Barony's E & E newsletter.

She has been a paid panelist at local writers' circles and has twice been invited to speak to the writing students at Liberty University in Lynchburg.

She resides in Lynchburg, Va., with her husband, Joe and two feisty, but loveable, dachshunds.

She is currently working on a literary medieval romance and a fan-fiction mystery.
