I have enjoyed all of these books in the series. I appreciate that there is no explicit sexual content, yet the love story part of it is well portrayed. It would be hard to write a murder mystery without some violence, but that part is well done without graphic blood and guts. I enjoy the characters in the books.

This one was spectacular. A lot of research had to be done because it delves back in WWII, the German Occupation of Paris, the Resistance, persecution of the Jews....and knowing Paris and the old Latin Quarter. It was exciting, adventurous...we find Maggie taking a lot of changes with the baby. At the end we can all fall back on Laurent and his fabulous cooking!

I have read the entire series and found this one to be the best. The ending was a complete surprise to me. What I really like about these books are the descriptions of the locations and the food. While I have been to Paris, this book went into neighborhoods that I was not familiar, which made the book more interesting and enjoyable. Looking forward to the next book.
