Overview

Detective David Andrews and Detective Paul Cameron work in the 7th precinct of fictional city Bathville, Massachusetts. They have very varying backgrounds – Dave, son of a very wealthy hotel owner from Las Vegas epitomises the tall, dark and handsome spoilt rich boy with a quick temper, and Paul, son of a drug user and physical abuser, hails from Brooklyn, New York and as blond as Dave is dark, is every bit as handsome and has a completely laid back attitude to life in general. Single and in their late twenties, they are partners and as close as brothers. They are assigned the task of mentoring two police officers who have emigrated from Northern Ireland so they can become detectives in the United States.
Cathy Edwards is a fiery, petite and beautiful woman whose quick temper is balanced by a kind and loyal nature. She was born and raised in Belfast and, along with her best friend, Krista Nolan, they come to the States to start a new life and continue at their chosen careers as police officers. Krista is the youngest of the two women, both are in their mid-twenties and Krista is an absolute stunner with a sharp wit and clear intelligence.
Krista and Cathy must complete a course at the Police Academy and during that time, a strong attraction builds between Krista and Paul. Dave and Cathy, however, have a true personality clash, made all the worse by their similar quick tempers.
As a foursome, their first assignment is in a seedy nightclub called the Blues Haven. An alarming number of staff has been murdered and it is up to the detectives to find the killer. Their first suspect is the nightclub owner, Xavier Petcelli but no hard evidence has been found against him yet. For nearly a week, the four detectives work shifts in the club and during that time, yet another victim falls foul of the nightclub murderer.
The detectives, who have by now established a steady and easy working relationship, not to mention a deep romantic relationship for Paul and Krista, pull out the stops and hasten to end the case without anyone else getting murdered. They discover that Petcelli is also running an illegal gambling ring at the club and on the night of a by invitation only gambling party, they are able to find the killer and his accomplices.
After the case is wrapped, Dave admits his strong attraction to Cathy, who responds that she feels the same way about him. Their superior officer, Captain Bob Hamilton, is proud and pleased with the way the ladies from overseas handled their first case in the United States and, realising he’ll have to turn a blind eye to the budding romances, welcomes the ladies into his elite team.
The foundation has been laid for the foursome to embark on a happy, loving, chaotic and sometimes dangerous future….

About the Author

I was born and raised in Northern Ireland, near Belfast. I emigrated to Canada in my mid 20’s and while there, started writing. My daytime job was as a medical secretary to various health care professionals, but my spare time was dedicated to my writing. I lived in Canada for 12 years and during that time had almost completed seven novels in a series. After living at home for a year, I moved to the United States and continued my career as a medical secretary. My writing was shelved for just a little while during my time in the States but, since my return to Northern Ireland upon my husband’s retirement six years ago, I have been able to resume my hobby and complete the seventh novel. I currently work full time with the Education Authority and dedicate as much time as possible to my family and my writing.
