Italy. Danger. Desire.

Murder, jewel thieves and terrorists intrude on an American woman's Roman holiday; can she trust the sexy, mysterious Italian man who comes to her aid?

Lexie Cortese is in Rome to forget. The last thing she expects is to meet a sexy Interpol agent who suspects her of being part of a terrorist plot involving a stolen diamond. Suddenly thrust into a world of murders, muggings, and kidnappings, Lexie doesn't know what to think--or who to believe.

Dominic Brioni's assignment is simple. Befriend the American and bring her to justice. Only Lexie seems the most unlikely terrorist Dominic has ever met. Sweet, determined, and direct, she faces life with courage and fire, a fire that sparks his protective instincts and a longing for something more--something he allowed himself to hope for only once before.

But that woman betrayed him, and his boss isn't about to let him forget it. With his career on the line and Lexie in danger, will Dominic learn to trust his heart before they both get killed?

Title: Murder, Mi Amore Author: Cara Marsi Published: 1-1-15 Publisher: Painted Lady Press Pages: 196 Genre: Mystery, Thrillers & Suspense Sub Genre: Romance, International Crime ISBN: 9781482593272 ASIN: B009UEVVP0 Reviewer: DelAnne Reviewed For: NetGalley My Rating: 4 1/2 Stars . Lexie Cortse has left Las Vegas and come to Rome to get over the jerk she had been engaged to and reinvent herself into a self assured woman who stands on her own two feet answering to no one but herself. For the first two weeks it is all that and more. Everything changes on the day she decides to splurge on a designer leather hand bag. In the shop she is bumped into by a man who makes her blood run cold with his menacing eyes. After that she feels she is constantly being watched. Then her new purse is snatched when her shopping bag is stolen. The good side is the sexy Italian who chases the mugger down and retrieves her purse, Dominico Brioni. They have a drink and make plans for dinner the following night. When she returns to the hotel the feeling of being watched persist. Her maid comes the room as Lexie is leaving and admires Lexie's old purse so she gives it to her and leaves. Upon returning to her room Lexie finds it ransacked and the burglar still there, running for her life the man pursues her. When the police come they tell her it is common place not to worry. The next day the maid is found dead without her new purse. Again Lexie goes to the police and yet again the brush her off. Dominic, an Interpol agent, has been assigned to the beautiful American woman, his mission is to gain her trust and find out where the diamond that was passed off to her will be handed over to the terrorist and when. He can't not see Lexie as a jewel thief and terrorist but she was seen receiving the jewel and fits the description passed on to Interpol. As he grows to know her and hear her story he is sure there is a mistake, but he had been fooled by an innocent act before and his superiors are not buying it. When the danger to Lexie mounts Dominic knows she is innocent and vows to protect no matter the cost. There is suspense and intrigue form the very start. Even the reader will question just how innocent Lexie truly is. With well developed characters a few you will love and a few you will hate. A plot that keeps you glued to the story from beginning to end Murder, Mi Amore will lure you in till the very end. My rating is 4 1/2 Stars. A true winner.

Murder Mi Amore by Cara Marsi is a suspenseful romance where the hero and heroine must learn to trust again, not only to let love in, but also to stay alive. Ms. Marsi has a hit on her hands in this book. I couldn't put the book down. I love a good suspense, but this was a terrific suspense with just the right amount of romance. Dominic is a man any woman would swoon over and I'm not sure I know a woman who wouldn't want to be Lexie. The imagery was so vivid of the scenery (the streets, the shops, the restaurants). I want to go to Italy now! While danger lurks around every corner for Lexie and Dominic, their connection grows to a force of its own. I absolutely loved this suspenseful romance and will pick up more of Ms. Marsi's books!

Lexie Cortese is on a mission to forget her troubles, and that leads her to Rome. It's a vacation that has run a little on the mundane side until she's the victim of a purse-snatching. Luckily, Lexie's purse is "rescued" by Dominic Brioni--a guy whose sex appeal practically exudes off the page. To say he's HOT doesn't quite do him justice. I loved this story! Tons of action, mystery, suspense and romance filled the pages of this fast-paced read. There characters were a delight and the storyline kept me on the edge of my seat. Murder, Mi Amore is a definite must read for lovers or romantic suspense.

I'm so happy to be able to buy this on my Nook! I'm a huge Cara Marsi fan and have been waiting on this. And the story was worth the wait. The Italy setting adds even more romance to this romantic suspense. Lexi gets pulled into an intrigue when she escapes to Rome to get over her ex. Sexy agent Dominic is torn between his assignment and his instincts where Lexi is concerned, and the more he gets to know Lexi, the more he longs for something to develop between them. Marsi's descriptions of character and setting blend seamlessly with the action to sweep you along in this quick read. Highly recommended!
