Tate Johnson is the daughter of the motorcycle club leader and has decided The Skulls has hurt her one too many times. Moving out of her home and cutting her ties from the only family she knows, she starts a life for herself, hoping to create new memories.

Murphy abandoned Tate for the sake of the club, but now he's back, determined to win the love she once felt for him. But, Tate's not letting go without a fight. She's stubborn and refuses to listen to him.

The Club is in lockdown when two local cops are killed. An attack is ordered on Tate, but no one knows the identity of the person intent on taking down The Skulls and controlling the town of Fort Wills. No one is safe as the club is compromised. Lives are lost, people are hurt, and some will never be the same again. Everything comes down to Murphy, and he has to make a choice.

He can save his club ... or his woman. Which will he choose?

Rating: 4.5 Stars What can I say, I keep coming back to read about The Skulls! This is the second book which tells the story of Murphy and Tate, picking up where 'Lash' left off. This was mainly about Murphy trying his best to get Tate to forgive him for his betrayal. We also learned bits and pieces on their relationship before Murphy left the Skulls. We get to check in on Lash and Angel, Tiny and Eva and a few new characters have also been added to the mix. The drama, again, was top notch. You knew something was going to go down, but you did not know when it was coming or from who. It was not predictable, and very creative! Excellent writing!! We also learned more about Tiny and Eva and was able to check in on their ongoing relationship drama. I can't wait for their story. Sam Crescent is doing a great job of drawing me into wanting to read about these characters. I love this series and hope we will get more that 4 books! Why Not 5 Stars? I'll keep saying it...Edit, Edit, Edit!! I'm not one who is looking for them, but there are so many that I can't help but to take notice.

Good story line. Tate was a bit of a brat but she had a lot of anger built up over how Murphy betrayed her. He really did his best to make it up to her. In so many MC books the Hero cheats on the h and treats her like dirt. This series is dofferent and way better.

27! Yep, this is how many times we get to read phrases like 'were stood' or 'were sat', yes I actually highlighted them just to see! There was literally only ONE sentence where the correct version of the word 'sitting' was used. Again, like in book one...very frustrating reading errors like this... Overall and despite those above mentioned errors, this was a pretty good book. We get to meet a few new characters plus see many of the old ones. I admired Tate, liked her a lot better than Angel's character. Unlike Lash and Angel, Murphy and Tate have an even relationship. He doesn't order her around and she demands respect. She can stand up for herself, got to give her credit for that. Murphy didn't feel the need to take her independence away by making all her decisions for her or making her rely totally on him. He was faithful and loyal to her and I think she did an excellent job of making him grovel for her forgiveness! SR
