Unwritten Law's latest release, "music in high places", is a shocking, but not upleasent deviation from their normal high-energy-pseudo-angry sounds. In all of their previous works it is obvious that these boys have a soft side, but in their newest release, they are down right cuddly... while still managing to be the intimidating california skater punks we all know. Scott Russo's voice has never sounded better than at one of the many peaks of Yellowstone National Park; where the album was recorded. Maybe the out-of-studio environment calmed him in some way, for he has never sounded more natural or talented in front of the microphone. And not only were the vocals outstanding, the music is soothing, but still able to evoke the emotions that every rocker looks for. On listening to the album you get a sense of how much music these guys have made together, and how comfortable they are in their group. Every album this band has released has evolved from the one that came before it. "music in high places" has broken yet another boundary for Unwritten Law, and it seems only to be getting better.

I first saw Unwritten Law play at a Blink 182 concert and fell in love with them. They sang Cailin and I had to get their CD. They have a unique sound to them and that's what I love about them. I have all their albums and so should you!

This is the best acoustic cd that I have ever heard. The acoustic versions of the songs are killer and Shallow is beyond sweet. Unwritten Law is the best because you can't label them and this cd is exactly why.

Unwritten Law, I was first introduced to this band by brother. I think that this band has come a long way and put great lyrics to their songs. They have a great sound and they don't sound like any other band. This new cd is right up there with all of the other cd's they have put out. Each one is good. Anybody would enjoy it. Parents that don't like the punk sound, will like this acoustic cd. UL's fan!!! -Andrew : Murrieta, CA

This album is an aweseome arrangement of fast driven punk rock in a soft acoustic atmosphere. It's amazing to hear songs that are written acousticly come together with all their other elements and put together on a cd for everyones enjoyment! Unwritten Law always manages to amaze me and they have done it yet again with this album by putting together songs from their newest release as well as old favorites!
