While there is a lot of heartbreak, it's balanced with the sweet and the emotionally uplifting; as it should be when reflecting life.
As well as the poems and sonnets, you'll find three short stories toward the end. The kind you can read on a train or during lunch... or maybe share with your children. The themes of life, love and survival remain, plus a surprise or two.
I hope you enjoy my chapbook, but more importantly, I hope connect with the themes while also doing something positive and constructive to support AnimalsAsia; to whom 25% of each sale of this chapbook will be donated.

About the Author
Nik started school without being able to speak English making school initially very difficult, but Nik had something many children didn't; a nana that regaled fantastical stories over yummy cookies or delicious chicken soup. Winter evenings were spent on the veranda watching thunderstorms as Nik's dad shared legends of the God of Thunder "Perun," while summer evenings were for star-gazing. These stories and fables of magical creatures and wild worlds ignited a life long fascination in Slav mythology and history.
Although Nik has several business degrees, it's the Arts that Nik most loves. As well as being a writer, Nik is also a painter. After several successful exhibitions in Melbourne Australia, Nik moved to Paris France in 2009/2010 where Nik had another successful exhibition. Nik's had several poems published and in 2013 came 9th in a worldwide short story competition. Nik will also be in a Short Story Anthology in 2015 printed by Fey Publishing.
Given Nik's involvement in Animal Welfare and charities, it's not surprising the profits from this Chapbook will be donated to AnimalsAsia
