Overview

Golden Leaf Finalist author Deborah Garland's follow up to Must Love Fashion, is a steamy second chance romance.

Greg Mallory isn't the kind of man to wallow just because he was left at the altar. Not when there are plenty of women to help him forget his heartbreak. But as the only Mallory son, he has an obligation to carry on the family name. When Greg's runaway bride returns, his head tells him to keep his distance, but his body and his heart are both begging for a second chance.

Faith Copeland bolted out of Darling Cove with a shameful secret and stayed away for ten years thinking Greg Mallory would never forgive her. Coming home means facing her past and Greg. She just didn't think he still had the power to make her melt after all this time.

One moment alone proves their attraction is stronger than ever. Are they brave enough to start fresh? Or will past secrets destroy their second chance at happy-ever-after once and for all?

You'll be rooting for both the runaway bride and the jilted groom!

A wonderful return to the small town of Darling Cove. Gregory Mallory (brother of the heroine from Must Love Fashion) has been a self-acknowledge womanizer after being left at the altar. Hitting forty is his wake-up call, and he’d determined to get his act together and find a woman he can start a family with. That woman should be anybody BUT Faith Copeland, the woman who jilted him. But when she shows up in Darling Cove after all these years, the attraction is still there for both of them. So are the issues that caused her to bolt without explanation. A complex mixture of family dynamics, human frailty, and forgiveness, Must Have Faith is a rollercoaster ride of emotion that leaves you breathless by the time you reach the final page.

Must Have Faith by Deborah Garland is the second book in her Darling Cove Series and what a fantastic follow up in this second chance romance series. Following the story of Faith and Greg, both older and definitely more mature this gave the story a different spin than the usual romance and one that really made this one stand out for me. Faith has a successful career and yet the dissolution of her marriage to Greg Mallory over ten years ago still haunts her. Faith has done nothing more than kept running from her past, from Darling Cove in particular, since the day her life imploded. Greg has never really moved on from Faith leaving him, at least not emotionally. Greg has attempted to move on, and yet he continues to compare every woman to Faith, and no matter what every one of them have been lacking. Of course Greg is angry, and rightfully so, about the end of his marriage but he just can’t seem to get her out of his system. Staying in Darling Cove probably didn’t help matters any when everywhere he goes reminds him of her, but he just can’t leave the memories. When he learns that Faith is coming back to Darling Cove, Greg knows this is his chance to get the answers to why their marriage ended. The fear, shame and secrets that drove Faith away, will not be easy to overcome for Greg, but his instant attraction to his ex-wife tells him that he needs her back in his life. He can tell that Faith wants the same thing, but something is holding her back. Just how far is Greg willing to go to win over Faith again? Can Faith give in to her attraction to Greg, or will her old secrets pull them apart again? Garland is a newer to me author, only having found her with this series, but boy am I happy that I picked Darling Cove up. If you are looking for a great series that encompasses all your emotions and pulls you in from the very first page and doesn’t let go ‘til long after your done reading. I can’t wait to see where this series goes in the future!

Must Have Faith (Darling Cove #2) by Deborah Garland was a sweet, fun, entertaining read that had all the good feels and of course some late summer, hot, smut! Not my first read my this author or this series, I was intrigued because both Faith and Greg were introduced in the first book. And we were told some of what had happened to them in the past. Also, the last of that book, sets you up perfect for this one. I am in love with this series. What a mix of characters, backstories and growth. This book was for me topped the first. I think it may have been because this wasn't just about two people/childhood friends reconnecting, or strangers meeting. Our MC's already made it to the alter, they were in love, they were going to take that set, then... Faith kicks up her dress and ran. This story had a heavy plot before it even started. So much mystery, heart brake and hidden emotions. There was such a complexity that just drew you in from the first pages. I was hooked, more so then the first book. And I think, reading about two MC's that are older, 40's, that are established, in the prime of their careers, and that life experience. It brings something extra special not only to them as MC, but to the story and plot as a whole. Man I can probably go on and on, and just talk your ear off with how freaking outstanding I think this book is. Don't get me startws on why Faith up and left, man just when I think an author can't rip out my heart even more. Curious? The you're just going to have to take my super high recommendation that you need this book in your life and go out and get it! Happy Reading -E.A. Walsh

Must Have Faith (Darling Cove Book 2) by Deborah Garland 5 Stars This is my 2nd book by this author and although I really liked the 1st in this series, I sincerely loved this one. The authors writing style made for a smooth read and I finished it in just a couple hours. I loved the storyline and how it was a bit different than the normal 2nd chance at romance stories. The few twists and turns were placed perfectly and the ending had my heart racing and I could see it playing out, it felt like I was there watching it all happen. I loved the family aspect of this story, and the return of our first books couple. I absolutely cannot wait to see who will get book 3, and although this is a series you can read this book as a standalone but I wouldn't recommend it because you would be missing out on so much history with others in this story. Loved it!!

Must Have Faith is the second book in Deborah Garland’s Darling Cove series. I have not read the first book and yes, the main characters of the first book are in this one but I did not feel that I was really missing anything out on the story not having read it. Must Have Faith is the long journey of second changes of Faith and Greg. I loved that they were not high schoolers who broke up over a misunderstanding and now are getting a second chance … it is a story of two mature people who have not managed to move on from each other, they have tried hard (or at least Greg has) but … it is not possible to replace the other half of yourself with someone else … The rollercoaster the writer is taking us on, well, it is something to remember … in some ways it is very easy to relate to the characters, they seem and feel so real and they make us to think about our own past relationships … and it was definitely all sturm and drang (or depressing in layman’s words), you will find yourself chuckling and well … there were couple of times you totally crack up! I am looking forward picking up the first book and I wonder who will be the lead of the third story …

This is the second book in the series. I enjoyed this one as much as the first one. This can be read as a standalone, suggest reading first book too. This is a story about second chances. After she left Greg days before their wedding she disappears but now that she is back, will he finally get the answers he deserves? I enjoyed all the characters, they are lovable and relateable. Their story pulled me from the first word, I needed to find out what was going to happen and you find the same.

When his bride-to-be left him days before they were supposed to say "I do" Greg Mallory was beside himself, she was his forever, and in the blink of an eye and without little explanation she was gone. And she has stayed away since the day she said goodbye ten years ago, but now she has decided to return home and spend sometime with her ailing father, and reacquaint herself with the friends she left behind. Which also means there is bound to be a reunion for the former lovebirds, and Greg plans to use this time to get answers to the questions he's been carrying around for the last ten years, and also get his girl back. There is no way he is letting her walk away from him a second time... When Faith Copeland chose to leave everything she knew behind for her career, she never expected it to hurt that damn much, but it did, and she has paid dearly for it during the last ten years. At the time she thought leaving was the right thing to do, but now she can clearly see she screwed up royally letting the man that has held a major piece of her heart since she was a teen slip away. She is just hoping that she hasn't stayed away too long, her plan was to come home see her family and friends, and possibly rebuild the relationship she broke. But once again there is a plan to leave on the horizon, and the opportunity of a lifetime waiting for her overseas... but this time there is also a opportunity of a lifetime waiting for her at home too! Must Have Faith is a second chance reunion story brimming with the perfect blend of everything you'd want in a romance story; it was heartwarming, witty, sweet and packed with sizzle! This book captivated my attention right from the start and had me flying right through the pages, I just had to see what happened to these wonderful characters. The story line was well crafted, creative, engaging and had a nice flow to it, it definitely made for very impressive first read! If you are looking for a heartfelt tale riddled with the feels, then look no further this one is sure to put the squeeze on your heart!! I requested an advanced copy of this title, and I am voluntarily leaving my honest opinion.
