Born in Guernsey in the Channel Islands in 1949 and emigrating to Australia in 1965, Phillip became a motor mechanic in the Royal Australian Air Force in 1978. His writing did not start until his divorce in 2005, when he wrote his first novel: A Trip to Hell (published in 2009). Phillip writes over many genre both gay and straight and is a prolific writer with over 40 novels published since 2009. This novel (My Date with Destiny) is in 3 parts; this book being part 1 and deals with the life of a young apprentice motor mechanic caught up in the Government of the day's crack down on Gay men. His determination to find a way to fight the Government through the courts spurs him on to complete a Law Degree and ultimately pass the Bar exams. He is offered a position in the Governments Commission into Unlawful arrests but during his investigations of several cases, finds the Russian Mafia and ultimately the now defunct KGB were up to their necks in murder and corruption in the States prison system.
