About the Author
Vicki Myhre is an Internationally Certified Podologist who made her authorial debut with A Day in the Life of Larry and Roger, A Pair of Diabetic Feet. She now presents the second installation of this series: My Diabetic Journal. Supporting wellness has been at the forefront on Myhre's career for years, through her work as life coach, wellness coach, and business coach, in addition to providing reiki and reflexology to clients across North America. Myhre's first-hand experience with diabetes started when she met her husband and best friend, a type 2 diabetic, in 1988. She married him in 1991. She has learned so much from him about his diagnosis and management, and has grown with him on his diabetic journey. Together, they have researched diets and lifestyles, planned and implemented changes and routines, and reaped the rewards of their continuing focus on wellness, which has allowed them to live as healthy a diabetic lifestyle as they can. Since that time, Myhre has spent many years working with type 1 and 2 diabetics, specializing in diabetic footcare, education and planning. She attributes her continued personal and career successes to her ability to maintain a goal-setting practice, which she hopes to share with readers through this workbook. Myhre lives in Strathmore, Alberta with her husband, Sheldon. For more on Myhre's work, see her website www.vickimyhre.ca or find her on social media.
