This is a wonderful book by and about a woman who not only is arguably the world's greatest fighter and athlete, but a top quality human being as well, who God willing, is destined for greater things yet. Ronda is humble enough to share with her readers her many missteps on the way to where she is now, which makes it much easier to rejoice at her success. I admit I often cheer for her opponents (Cat Zingano for example) because they are always the underdogs, but I am always happy when Ronda wins.

Great book written by two very accomplished women. One of the best sports autobiographies out there without a doubt. Ronda let it all out and told the good, the bad, and the ugly parts of her life so far. You can't help but root for this woman's future success. She is REAL.

I have no particular interest in mixed martial arts but I loved the accessible laws of power, winning, fighting and overcoming obstacles. WHY I FIGHT is the opening chapter and from there on she offers original ideas that aply to any life. Bravo, Ronda for being so candid and bright. LOVED IT!!

My Fight, Your Fight     My Fight, Your Fight is a well written novel by Ronda Rousey that takes the reader on her journey rooted from determination, motivation, and perseverance. This entire book is a metaphor between life and fighting, this is what kept me so engaged. Reading a book like this taught me many life lessons. One of lessons was, “tragedies can produce great experiences”. This sends the message that nobody should let the rough times keep them down. Another lesson learned was the message of “knowing when to move on”. Rousey made it clear that no one should dwell on what they can’t control. She also mentioned that no one should get down on themselves if they lose a fight, didn’t get a good grade on a test, or if a relationship ended on bad terms, you control your own happiness, so move on live life to the fullest. I would recommend this novel to anyone that is down on themselves or struggles with self-confidence. This book is a breath of fresh air that projects tenacity and boldness. Rousey’s overall writing style is demanding and serious, this is just her personality which stems from her fighting background. Rousey sounds very intelligent and is willing to share her adventures.. Anyone that has been through a lot, like Rousey, has a pethrol of lessons and experiences to share and this is why this is such a strong novel.

As an athlete, this book is amazing. It is a book about sacrifice and willing your way through the worst of situations. It is about a want to succeed against huge odds when the whole world is working against you. It is a classic real life underdog story. I hesitated on this purchase for months because I read some of the bad reviews on this site claiming that Ronda is too emotional and cries throughout the whole book. I finally decided to purchase the book because some friends recommended it. Yes, Rousey is emotional. She is emotional because she loves what she does and sinks her heart and soul into it. It is obvious in how much she loves what she does by how much she gave up to have a chance at her dream. Anybody who does not understand that will not like her book. Ronda is an inspiration to me as an athlete. I imagine this book is perfect for athletes (high school and above due to the amount of cursing in it), anybody who enjoys a good underdog story, or anybody looking to gain insight into what it takes to become great at what you love to do. Quite simply, Ronda is a badass.
