Hella good book. Quite factual about Bureucrats being Bureaucrats. And it was (sarcasm) good to see Russia changed thier outer appearance, to 'Soviet Light'. But not thier actions haven't changed a lot. Aukai's description of Chechnia had me even more in doubt about the spoonfull of b.s. Russia is said to have reported. Claimed a horrible accident occured: a group of Lithuanians, that stood in the path of Soviet Tanks during the Lithuanian revolt in 1990. Tried stopping an attempt to shut down the only Vilinius, Lithuania t.v. station. The 'Official' version of the story is that multiple tanks plowed right into the crowd of men, women & children blocking them 'by accident'. That's the gist of the most imfamous incident during Lithuania's revolt against the USSR. Even got to see a picture of a teenage girl's upper body laying out from under a Tank tread. After visiting That country in 1993. Good book overall. Needed a refresher to my own disliking of Russia's Military after ten years. But the other aspects to this story were good as well. Gives a more human side to the Chechans than the media does.

This book takes a very good look into the true meaning of 'jihad'. It has awesome decriptions of frontline battles from the man that was there in the face of danger. Any American should read this if they want to understand 'jihad' in its true state (something many Americans probably do not understand). The book is very entertaining and easy to read, but sometimes slows pace around many different characters and places. It also gives an inside look at the FBI and CIA. Overall, it is very good.
