About the Author

Otearle Birden spent his life mostly on the streets, where he came across good and bad people. His life has been impacted by turbulent experiences that started in his childhood. He has been a college dropout and convict and is currently running an apparel business.
Otearle witnessed his parents' separation at a very young age. His younger sister passed away as a baby, and their parents landed in legal trouble after losing their child. After his mother left, he and his siblings were forced into a financial decline that deprived them of basic necessities.
The siblings had to find a way to survive as they faced a shortage of food and other utilities that they deserved as children. They were forced to find a way to make it while their father struggled to make ends meet.
During the period of his parent's separation, Otearle found a mother figure in a woman who lived in the neighborhood. She brought him up along with other children she had been caring for.
Life took an unexpected turn for Otearle when he found himself in prison at the age of 16. One thing led to another, and his life became a mess.
Despite going to prison and dropping out of college, Otearle kept believing in life. He became a father of six children and started running a business.
Life has been a rollercoaster for Otearle as he went from the streets to prison and finally reached a point where he had no option but to take charge of his life.
The challenges he faced in his life at a very early age followed him throughout his adulthood. However, he dealt with every situation with all his strength, and it was only possible owing to his resilience and belief in the way the universe works.
After years of struggling with poverty, racism, abandonment, deprivation, and sometimes starvation, he started coming to terms with the reality of his life. He has come a long way after everything that has happened to him and is determined to turn his life around.
