Overview

Just when you're sure Wally has bungled through every misadventure imaginable, this nerdy kid stumbles, staggers, and k-splats his way smack dab into a brand new frontier - the human body. When he and Wall Street, his best friend (even if she is a girl), visit a local laboratory, they are accidentally miniaturized and swallowed by some unknown stranger. It is a race against the clock (let alone Wally's own klutzoidness) as they fly through various parts of the body - from the stomach to the blood system to the brain to the eye - in a desperate search for a way out while all the time learning how "fearfully and wonderfully we are made."

Editorial Reviews

Children's Literature - Dr. Judy Rowen
This is the 15th adventure of Wally McDoogle, who is the kind of kid who can trip over his own feet. This time, the class is visiting a laboratory. Through one of his typical ungraceful moves, Wally and his friend Wall Street are miniaturized and end up traveling through another friend's digestive tract. This is a story we have heard before, from the movie Fantastic Voyage and through the Magic School Bus series. Little new ground is covered in this derivative tale. The new twist is a Christian perspective, which is gratuitously tacked on rather than interwoven. The take home message is that we are "fearfully and wonderfully made." The best part of this book was the title.
