After several miscarriages, a broken marriage from a cheating lieing husband, Casey went back home to take care of her mom and lick her wounds. Brent has loved Casey since they were young however he didn’t realize Casey has been in love with him just as long. After a heartbreaking time when they were younger, the two try to see if they can make it work now that they are adults. When someone keeps breaking into Casey’s mom’s house, she moves into Brent’s house. Can Casey get past the hurt and see what the future will hold for her and Brent? Will Brent reach Casey in time before her ex-husband hurts her?  This story captivates you and keeps you wanting to know more all the way to the end.  It is one of those books that you can’t put down until you are done reading it all. I am looking forward to reading the next book in this series from the author.

I was gifted this book from the Author for an honest review.  I gave this book 4.5 Stars.  This is book 7 in the series, but can be read as a standalone.  This is my first read from this Author and I enjoyed it very much.  This is Casey and Brent's story. Casey has been in love with Brent since she was 9 years old. He has always been the forbidden thing that she shouldn't be with. He is three years older then her and at the tender age of a teenager that is a lifetime. One night changes everything and Brent breaks her heart and leaves her with no explanation as to why. 12 years later they are back in each others life, with a divorce and a whole lot of crap between them, but the fire still burns and they still can't get enough of each other.  Now that they are older and wiser can it work? Or will all their crap get in the way again, and they will be left nursing yet another broken heart.  I really loved these two characters. They have known each other forever and they have hurt each other, but they still can forgive and try to move on and make a life together. I wish life was always that simple. I was rooting for these two from the beginning of the story, and although this is the first book that I have read in this series it can be a standalone, and I will be getting the other ones and reading them. It is a great series and I can't wait to read about the other characters in the book. Thank you Anne for a great story. I look forward to reading more from you :)

Looking back on our lives we can all see mistakes, and often defining moments, that we will always wonder if I could change it, what would happen. This is a story about second chances, we can't go back and change the past but maybe we can change the future. Brent knows exactly that moment in his life and he has regretted it ever since, and yes his life went off the tracks but it shows his strength of character that he brings it back and then wants to reach out and help horses in need, but now Casey is back and he doesn't want to mess it up but if he doesn't tell the truth things will go badly and if he does tell the truth he's not sure what will happen. Casey went on with her life but there was always the feeling that something was missing, then she met Brent again and she knew what it was. Now things are going missing but is she too wrapped up in Brent to notice. I loved Casey, she has come out of a toxic marriage but she still has herself mostly intact, and that is not always easy to do she still lacks confidence in certain areas but with Brent's help these will recover too. This is a story about two wounded souls finally finding each other, now if they can get past all the baggage they may have a chance at love, not forgetting that there may be someone wanting to stop them ever getting together.  Although I believe that this story is part of a series this is the first one I have read but it won't be the last as I got so caught up in the characters lives and I would love or read more of this author.  I received a free copy for an honest review.

I received this book from the touring host for an honest review.  The book started off with recently divorced Stacey that watched a man working on a roof; relaxing at her mother’s home. While ogling and undressing this man for the last four days she thought he looked familiar, but couldn’t place him. Her thoughts very brazen as she thought about all the things she wants to do to him; wishing him to come over. He became aware that he was watched and finally made the connection when he looked in her direction waved and then continued working. While she was busy daydreaming, a knock on the door brought her back to reality, when she opened it there stood her high school crush, Brent; the same guy from the roof.  From here on the story picked up pace and the heat sensors rocketed between them; finding each other after so many years. There were many unresolved issues between them that caused some tension; with more added problems as they got to know each other very intimately. Heating the sheets and barn to blistering hot.  Brent, range owner, a sizzling hot and very demanding cowboy; was specializing in the rehabilitation of Horses. They discovered how their decisions had almost cost them each other, but they had a second change and had to work through the baggage. As the story progressed they managed against odds to work through all the obstacles. This is a well written erotic romance very believable with strong character’s that had integrity and back bone, which made this a very good read.
