The only reason this book gets 2 stars is because sadly, I've actually read worse. The characters were dull and the story dreary and lacking in depth and excitement. There is little dialogue in this book which wouldn't be nearly so bad if the two main characters actually interacted enough to inspire any sort of feeling toward them. Instead the author spends the first half of the book recounting past events, and the last quarter tying up loose ends in an utterly predictable and lackluster 'let's all have babies' ending that was anticlimactic, unsatisfying and encroaching on amateurish. There simply were no great moments in this book. For two people who claim to be 'best friends' the two main characters spend little or no time in each others company, or talking to each other for the majority of the story only to overcome the simple obstacles keeping them apart in a single conversation followed by nauseating unrealistic, and therefore not quite believable repetitions of how much they love each other at the end. This is by no means a must read.
This is my first Joan Hohl book and I am hooked!!!! I can't wait for her next one ' I DO' to come out. First of all let me say that her characters were great. The love between these two is unforgetable!!! and all the complications and heart aches in the middle make the ending even better!!!! What can I say, a young love/crush growing into a mature love/lust and all the wanting and craving of something that can be so intence and wonderful, yet so impossible that it hurts and BAM!!!!!!! It all comes together in the end and what a rollercoaster ride in the mean time!!!!! You have to read this!!!
