Cobwebs, eerie sounds and creaky floorboards greet Cat O'Leary McTavish and her twin daughters when they move to their new home, a dilapidated dude ranch near Baker City in the Cascade foothills of Washington State. Her plan to restore the destination resort to its former glory hits a snag when she learns she has the 'O'Leary Gift' and can talk to the dead man who still resides in her house.

Former Army Ranger, Rob Williams always planned to run the family guest ranch after completing his military service. Instead, he "bought the farm with his life" when he died in Vietnam, but being dead doesn't mean he's going anywhere. Encountering someone who "sees" and "hears" him is a welcome change.

Cat's determination leads her into danger, when they discover an adversary wants to turn the one-time dude ranch into a gravel pit.

Will a woman with a dream and a man who's had his dreams cut short, manage to save a ranch and each other when the biggest surprise of all is love?

Josie Malone never fails to come through with a great read. With her latest offering "My Sweet Haunt," I wondered how she could make a ghost romance work out, but with a twist and turn, she gives us a memorable hero and everybody gets their HEA, except the bad guys of course. With a Malone book, I've come to expect several elements, and "My Sweet Haunt" didn't disappoint me. There were kittens and puppies, horses and kids, a strong, independent woman and the loyal, and hunky, man who loves her. There were elements of danger and suspense; good conflicts, both physical and emotional; and a sweet, sexy romance. I couldn't ask for more – except the next books in the Baker City: Hearts & Haunts series. I can't wait.

Don’t wait for a creepy evening to share in Cat McTavish’s adventures at the dude ranch she enjoyed as a child and won in an essay contest. The condition of her taking title, however, is that rather than sell the abandoned property, she restore it as a functioning tourist attraction. With sleeves rolled up, she moves in with her eight-year-old twin daughters, horses, and dogs ready to muck the barn, build a fence to corral the horses, and make the home she urgently needs for herself and her children. But Cat can’t help but notice strange things happening, despite her determination to explain them away. You see, she is sharing the ranch with the ghost of Robert Williams, the son of the former owners and solider killed in Vietnam. Moreover, Cat is not the only one who wants the ranch, and when she refuses to sell, the story takes off. This paranormal romance about a hardworking woman and supportive ghost will surely put a smile on your face.
