I had high hopes for this book because it combines two things that I hold dear: reading to children, and equality for all in terms of marriage. That said, this book disappoints. It's poorly written and comes off more as a diatribe than a story. The smug, superior tone is off-putting, and the story itself is clunky and disjointed.
