This is another one of these mysteries that Nancey Drew solves. The problem is that a boy named Rishi is trying to find his mean father, because his foster-cared father is mean, and always whips him. His father had moved to America to start over his career, as so told by Rishi's foster-cared mother. Nacey Drew solves this mystery as quick as a wink!!Rishi was kidnapped a few times, bu Nacey Drew had him safely till the end. After a hard time of figuring out what had happened, Nancey found out that Rishi, the boy, was a raja's son, which was kidnapped at an early age. His real mother died of a heart ache, and his father fled to America. At the end, the son and the father were happily reunited!!!

I think this is one of the best Nancy Drew books. Nancy and friends attend a wild animal show where they meet Rishi and Rai. Rai treats the young Rishi horribly and Rishi runs away by hiding in the trunk of Nancy's car. When Nancy starts digging, she finds that Rishi is more than an abused boy - he's the son of a maharaji. He was kidnapped when he was very young and believed to be dead. Luckily, he meets Nancy and there is a happy ending. I remember devouring these books in junior high, but this one was new and quite delightful. Looking forward to reading my next book in the series.
