This free, 20 page short story, was very sad. It had some violence in it. One method of death was by burning, which is a terrible fear of mine, so I found this terribly disturbing. This short story was very well edited and thought out. It had a great flow and likable characters. I would recommend this for anyone wanting a fast read. AD

A young boy loses his parents tragically and struggles to overcome his confusion and grief. Mystery and suspense are central elements. Very easy read. Set in the 1800s.
