This title is an alphabet book that celebrates Christmas Latino-style. Each letter introduces a new Spanish word and the illustrations relate that word to a Latino Christmas tradition. At the end there's a nice dictionary of the words with a pronunciation guide. There's also a little bit more information to explain some of the traditions. The illustrations are angular and kind of blocky, but the colors are vibrant and attention-grabbing. The paint looks thick and very textural. I think it'd be a nice title to use as part of a Christmas storytime. It's definitely not too long, and depending on your audience you could spend time talking about how different familys and cultures celebrate Christmas.

My family & I are Mexican-Americans, & have lived in the USA for 4 generations. I have always been fascinated with our Mexican roots & wanted to know more about our culture & be able to teach my 3 year old son. This book was perfect. I have been celebrating the Dia De Los Reyes since he was born, but with this book he was able to understand it a little more. This was the first year he was truly excited about the 3 Kings coming. I would definitely recommend this book to anyone who wants to share the Mexican cultlure with their children. The illustrations are beautiful & colorful & catch the childs interest.
