Nail Your Law Job Interview was a disappointment. I was psyched for this book because it had sections dedicated to practicing lawyers and was not written strictly for law students like other books I have seen or read. Unfortunately, this book really did not provide any substance or insight. Much of what the authors did in this book was to state the obvious and waste the readers time. Most or all interview books will tell you how to dress on an interview but to waste so many precious pages in a short book to explain that legal employers are conservative was annoying. If a law student or lawyer does not know that before reading this book, than that person needs a lot more help than any book can provide. Many if not all of the generalizations provided in this book could be found in articles on the internet. I wanted a book that would help me formulate responses to tough questions, which this book just didn't do. I suggest reading Guerilla Tactics for Getting the Legal Job of Your Dreams instead. Although written for law students, Guerilla Tactics does a much better job of helping the reader formulate answers to questions that prospective employers want to hear by explaining what the interviewer is really trying to inquire about with particular questions. This process of thoroughly explaining what the interviewer is seeking with particular questions helps the reader that particular question but with other questions as well because the reader develops the mindset needed to respond properly to questions asked at interviews.
