About the Author

During her high school years, Kelsey Ketch could always be found tucked away in a little corner of the hall or classroom, writing her fantasy worlds and creating illustrations and maps. Today is no different, except now she’s writing in the break room at her office building or at the tables of the Barnes and Noble Café in Cary, North Carolina. She is also an avid reader, a part-time book blogger at Ketch’s Book Nook, and lives with her two orange tabbies and awesome and humorous flat-mate. Daughter of Isis is her debut novel. This was a superb end to the Descendants of Isis Series. The final novel will keep you on the edge of you seat. This last adventure takes Seth and Natti to the very edge of reality. You will learn what Seth's role is in mystery and how Natti fights to avoid her destiny. And just when you thought that the villains couldn't get nastier, they do, but Karma comes around. Truly a fitting end. Loved it! Hope you do too!

This is the last book of the trilogy, which I suggest you read them first to understand. In this book Seth, the son of a high priest of Set, knows he is in love with Natti, but being “cursed” because of his situation, he is torn between his loyalties and teachings with what he feels. Seth needs a bit of magic to restore his powers, while Natti can only gain magic with Seth’s help. Set also wants Natti, so he will make everything to get her. They all get into different situations trying to restore Set, and Seth has to help to get into the Underworld. The book is very well structured, very detailed and has a lot of action. Not the usual YA book as the way they treat woman is not ordinary, so it’s for older teens due to the sexual situations described in the series. I think the book was a great conclusion to the series. I recommend reading them and will be looking forward for what Kelsey writes next.
