The first book in a series, Nananette and the Doldrums follows the endearing and exciting story of a young brother and sister, aged between 5 and 8, as they embark on a quest to bring their never-seen-before nanan home. Their adventure begins when Nick receives a mysterious postcard from Nananette, in which she declares that she is at sea, but in the Doldrums; the children must seek a wind to bring her home. Coincidences, hidden messages and strange dreams interweave as the children seek to find The Trade Winds, and to bring their long-lost Nananette home.
About the Author
Tania Bramley was brought up in the Peak District, spent many years in Scotland, and has also lived in France. She is now back in the Peak District, where she writes, runs and goes rock climbing. As an English and French teacher, she has spent many happy years entertaining children in the classroom, and would now like to entertain them through books.
