About the Author

Author/artist Masashi Kishimoto was born in 1974 in rural Okayama Prefecture, Japan. Like many kids, he was first inspired to become a manga artist in elementary school when he read Dragon Ball. After spending time in art college, he won the Hop Step Award for new manga artists with his story Karakuri. After considering various genres for his next project, Kishimoto decided on a story steeped in traditional Japanese culture. His first version of Naruto, drawn in 1997, was a one-shot story about fox spirits; his final version, which debuted in Weekly Shonen Jump in 1999, quickly became the most popular ninja manga in the world. The series would also spawn multiple anime series, movies, novels, video games and more. Having concluded the series in late 2014, Masashi Kishimoto has kept himself busy this year with the side story Naruto: The Seventh Hokage and the Scarlet Spring and writing the story for the latest Naruto movie, Boruto: Naruto the Movie, both of which will focus on the title character's son, Boruto.

My favorite characters so far, are some of the other fighters in this tournament, finals, etc. I mean I don't like the MC but don't hate him, well, at first sure but you know what? He has his moments he really does. But you have to read a couple of volumes until you start to like the guy. The world building is interesting, the other characters and villains are interesting. Its kind of fun reading this while hearing the dub in your head, I don't know it just fits you know? Another good volume. I like Shikamaru's I don't care attitude but underneath is a genius kind of attitude/fighting style he's got going. Makes this volume more interesting. Also, we got some character development it seem with one of the characters. Anyway, another good volume.

I read this book yesterday, and this is the part I like the most. The Neji vs. Naruto battle is excellent, and I love Shikamaru and Temari's battle the most out of all of them. Can't wait to read the next book!

Thisbook tells about the first battle between Naruto and Nejji. The battle is pretty good up until when Naruto Uses some of the Nine Tailed Foxes chackra and Naruto attacks and Nejji uses his rotation shield and theirs an explosion and then Naruto suprises Nejji and wins the battle. ITS AWSOME!!! It also tells about Nejji and the Huga clan and how it works on being born first.

Volume 12 is a great volume of Naruto. It contains the fight between Naruto and Neji, one of the best fights of the Chuunin Exam leading up to the Naruto vs. Gaara fight.

WOW, this volume is very exciting. Naruto and Neji fight and so does Shikamaru and Temari. Naruto kicks Neji's butt in this volume! and that makes me very happy because I hate Neji, Sasuke, Sakura, and Gaara a little because he beat Lee Lee(It's a cute nickname for him!(-:) Shikamaru was pretty impressive also even though he lost cause he didn't have enough chakra.Anyway, hope you like the volume and remember, I LOVE ROCK LEE!!!!!!!
