About the Author

R.L. Kenderson is two best friends writing under one name.

Renae has always loved reading, and in third grade, she wrote her first poem where she learned she might have a knack for this writing thing. Lara remembers sneaking her grandmother’s Harlequin novels when she was probably too young to be reading them, and since then, she knew she wanted to write her own.

When they met in college, they bonded over their love of reading and the TV show Charmed. What really spiced up their friendship was when Lara introduced Renae to romance novels. When they discovered their first vampire romance, they knew there would always be a special place in their hearts for paranormal romance. After being unable to find certain storylines and characteristics they wanted to read about in the hundreds of books they consumed, they decided to write their own.

One lives in the Minneapolis/St. Paul area and the other in the Kansas City area where they’re a sonographer/stay-at-home mom/wife and pharmacist/mother by day, and together they’re a sexy author by night. They communicate through phone, email, and whole lot of messaging.

You can find them at, Facebook, Instagram, Tumblr, Twitter, and Goodreads. Join their Facebook Reader Group. Or you can email them at , or sign up for their newsletter. They always love hearing from their readers.

She has lost her one love, her husband. She needs a shoulder to cry on and his best friend helps. He has no time for women but he made a promise and one he intends to keep. She finds she wants to have sex again but without giving her heart. He could be just the right person. Can it stay emotionless? See if it can I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review....We finally got Nate's book, and I still love him. This book was sad, I wasn't really expecting that but I welcomed it as reading it. We meet Piper who is a good friend to Nate, she was widowed shortly after moving to this town and was also one of Nate's best friend. He asked Nate to take care of his wife and Nate was doing a good job however his feelings started to change for her but he wasn't planning on making a move on her, she however after a long grieving year has decided she needs some intimacy (yeah that is the word I am going to use) and decides she will have Nate help her with it since she doesn't want any commitments and he is known to not be one to get in relationships, but can they really keep things without feelings? We also get to read a little about Luke and Elise and I still love them and still my favorite couple from this series!! Enjoy!

I found many reasons to love this novel. 1. It's well-written about a widow (Piper) who's surfacing after her husband death after a year of morning. 2. Nate is a great character "a player" who's a supportive friend because of a promise to Piper's husband Jordan to a lover with benefits. 3. Great friends on both sides are entwined in this story. 4. It's not a "Instant Love", it builds with emotions, angst and soul searching onto what is important to each other to reach their HEA. 5. I loved the touches of humor as I was reading about Piper and Nate in the second novel in this series. I volunteer to read and review this ARC that I totally enjoyed.

A great read, this book did not disappoint. It is well written, the plot is consistent and well-developed. Friends to lovers, the characters Piper and Nate are perfect for each other though it would take them awhile to figure it out as they deals with loss and grief. The author takes us on a roller coaster of emotions; a ride of intense drama, humour, and sex scenes so intense sparks fly everywhere. A compelling read! Nasty tells the story of Piper and Nate, linked by her dead husband, his best friend. The characters in this book were exceptional. Nate's soft gooey center really got to me. The premise and Piper's plan are a bit taboo, but oh so hot. This story is a slow burn that quickly becomes an inferno of passion culminating in a love that will last. Nate and Piper's husband were in a car accident a year ago and within minutes Piper was a widow at 28. Nate made a death bed promise to take care of Piper, but that doesn't include the ways he's been dreaming of taking care of her. Piper and Nate have been best friends since he death of her husband. Over the past year, he's been there for her, whether it's being a shoulder to cry on or helping to finish the backyard deck. And speaking of the backyard deck, Nate doesn't always wear a shirt when he's working, which has started to awaken Piper's libido. Piper decides she wants to start dating and enjoy sex again. After a disaster of a first date with a married man (the guys is lying scum) she proposes an arrangement with Nate. I really liked the progression of their relationship and how both of them needed to acknowledge that just because Piper loved her husband, doesn't mean that she can't now love Nate. This was my first read by these authors and it can be read as a stand alone, even though characters from the previous book play a minor role in this one. Highly recommend and will be reading Dirty to catch up on Luke and Elise's backstory. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

I volunteered to read this ARC for an honest review. I loved this story about Piper and Nate. Piper is a young woman who just recently lost her husband Jordan in a car accident. She is devastated but she is lucky to have his best friend Nate looking out for her, this was Jordan's final wish. After morning over a year, Piper decides she might need to move on, especially after getting turned on by Nate brushing against her. After a few failed dates, Piper takes her friend's advice to have sex with the guy who woke up her libido. Nate is shocked when Piper shows up in the middle of the night in his bedroom. Things heat up between them quickly. Having a friend with benefits arrangement is working out for them. When her mom announces get marriage and she wants Piper and Nate to come, neither Nate or Piper are expecting the drama that will unfold. Jordan's parents say some very hurtful things and make Piper doubt herself and her relationship. Follow the two of them while they mend their relationship and build a new one. Find out how Jordan keeps sending them messages that he approves of them together. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Emotion filled, laugh out loud funny and super steamy! I loved Piper and Nate’s story! The underlying plot is easy to fall into and follow throughout the book. The characters both have past heartache that has defined who they are today and they each are trying to work through some of their issues. They’re really adorable together as best friends, and as lovers, oh my, they heat up the place for sure! Really enjoyed their story! When Piper Stevens lost her husband a year ago, she figured life as she knew it was over. They never got the chance to start that family they always dreamed of, so now it won’t happen. She became numb when her husband died and parts of her never came back to life. She’s going through the motions of her new life with the support of her good friend Nate by her side. Nate Hall was her husband’s best friend, and he promised him he’d take care of her. He’s a major player who has never been friends with a member of the opposite sex before, but this past year has been eye opening for him and he now adores Piper and would do anything for her. When she comes asking him to be the one that reawakens her sexual journey though, that one he’s not so sure about! He wants her, he won’t deny that … but she’s a happily ever after type of woman. Can she really be happy settling for just sex?

A really wonderful book. An engaging and emotional storyline, with likable characters and plenty of emotion and steam. This twist on the friends with benefits trope hits the bullseye with the addition of a heartbreaking tragedy and a promise. I loved Piper and Nate. Regardless of the loss in her past and his love 'em and leave 'em ways, they seemed to fit together beautifully and were just what the other needed in so many ways. Could be read as a standalone but for full immersive experience and total knowledge of all characters I recommend reading them all and in order.

Great Balance Between Drama & Se*y Times!! What's a Widow to do when her libido suddenly decides to awaken, but she's already had & lost the love of her life... How's she supposed to scratch that itch without dating a bunch of losers, leading some poor sap on, or even worse getting an STD... Hmmmm, suddenly my husband's bestfriend is looking mighty FINE~ just look at him strutting around without his shirt... D@mn! When did he get Sooo Smokin' HOT! Ohhh, yeah! She's got the Perfect Plan; she's gonna Pony up & Ride him HARD to scratch that itch! After all, he's not looking for long-term, & neither is she... Well, at least that was the PLAN! I was granted an ARC of R.L. Kenderson's "Nasty (Naughty #2)" via Booksprout; I found this book extremely enjoyable. I'm gladly recommending it based upon its own merits. I'll definitely be looking forward to more opportunities to read R.L.'s work in the future. All opinions expressed within this review are uniquely my own & freely given. Until next time... Happy Reading!
