I am studying to become a certified conservationist....and this book is a must have! This book is perfect to track animals, and find out more information on any mammal living in the area. It contains a section with individual tracks of every animal, then a section of colored photos of each animal. The back section is detailed information on every mammal. The cover is a nice soft leather. It is just a great guide! I purchased not only this one, but the wildflower, tree, and bird guides also. You will not regret buying these guides!!
These little Audubon books are a must for any nature lover. This particular one shows glossy photos of many of the four legged creatures that habitat our wooded neighborhood as well as creatures we see on our camping and canoeing trips. It's a great quick reference book - Find the photo or name of the mammal you are researching and then the book refers you to a thorough two page description of habitat and behavior. My daughter(11) has used it for school projects, to answer questions she has about an animal, or just to look at. Friends and family like this wonderful alternative to google.
