Dr. Pearson is is an enrolled member of the Echota Cherokee Tribe of Alabama and a long-time advocate for minority and women's rights. Professor Lemieux is an artist and designer who has studied petroglyphs. All proceeds are donated to a non-profit supporting educational initiatives for indigenous students.

About the Author
Dr. Esther M. Pearson is an Assistant Professor of Mathematics at Lasell College in Newton, Massachusetts. Dr. Pearson has a passion for sharing Native American culture with the wider world and spends time lecturing and conducting research on Native American topics. Dr. Pearson teaches an Honors class in "Native American Societies and Arts". She is an enrolled member of the Echota Cherokee Tribe of Alabama and a long-time advocate for minority and women's rights. She is also a past member of the Board of Directors of the North American Indian Center of Boston.
Margo Lemieux is a professor of art & graphic design. She is a children's book author and illustrator and an advocate for wisdom through storytelling. In 2006 and 2007, she spent time in Nevada studying petroglyph art.
