Sybil and her friends at the rooming house are caught up in more murders, and the clues are multiplying, as are the number of suspects. Situational humor abounds, what with the foul-mouthed bird, abundance of indigenous snakes, and chasing the dog through the mud. Incidental learning provided about how law enforcement positions are managed in Australia, as well as differences in weather inland from Sydney. Don't miss this fun book with good sleuthing and enjoyable characters!
Great Book! This is a great book; this is the second book in the Australian Amateur Sleuth series by Morgana Best. This book can be read as a standalone because it has a different mystery than the first book. Sibyl Potts is one of the boarders who are boarding a room from Cressida Upthorpe. When one of the new boarders, an eminent professor of Soratic philosophy is found poisoned by hemlock, Cressida becomes the main suspect. Sibyl puts her sleuthing skills to the test to find the killer. If you are looking for a great book then you need to read this one. I am looking forward to the next book by this great author.
