I got this book, this morning and must say its awesome! I'm not a stylist or braider, but am interested in natural hair care and braiding for my own curly hair. Some sections are definitely geared toward the professional- such as hair anatomy and proper client care in the salon. Still, it's never boring. I found the 'african hair history' very interesting! There are tons of rceipes for natural rinses and conditioners as well as recommended oils to use. The braiding and sculpting technique section is very detailed - including photos of almost all the steps. This is a book to recommend, for the professional and the novice. The price is worth it - especially since I had a 25% coupon. :)
