The explosive new addition to the DDVN World (Fire and Ice Series) by USA TodayBestselling author K.F. Breene!

Something has always been missing from my life. A hole that I could never seem to fill.

When I accidentally turn a coven of witches into nightmares, I find out what that something is.

And it turns out, I have a crap load of it.

As a latent power awakens deep inside of me, I’m exposed to one of the most powerful and corrupt organizations in the magical world—the Mages’ Guild.

Barely knowing a spell from a few swear words and luck, I won’t be able to evade them alone.

And that’s when I meet him.

The Rogue Natural. The best and most feared mage in the world.

He’s dangerous, mysterious, and has a vendetta of his own. He is now the only thing between me and magical enslavement.

Penny is the natural witch who showed up on and off in the Fire and Ice Trilogy. I don't believe you need to have read the Fire and Ice Trilogy to enjoy this book but it definitely adds to the background if you do. Once again I loved all the characters in this book. I don't think I can adequately express my love of KF Breene's humor. This book is exciting, full of action, and laugh out loud funny. I am eagerly awaiting the next installment to see what happens with Penny and Emery!

I absolutely adore Penny. She the best awkward character I've read yet. It takes a special person to hit their self in the face with someone else's hand. She's also hilarious. I liked Emery as well, and I hope in the coming books, we get to see him come out of his shell more. Can't wait for the next one.

We got to meet Penny Bristol briefly in 'Born in Fire'. Now, in 'Natural Witch', we get a better look at what this amazing girl is all about. Penny is a powerhouse of magic, but hasn't got it quite figured out yet. Emery is also a heavy hitter in the magical world, but has a little more experience under his belt. Getting a glimpse of what these two might be capable of together will keep you up till all hours of the night to finish this book and find out.

Natural Witch (Magical Mayhem, #1) by K.F. Breene is a fantastic magical ride. This story centers around Penny and picks up where we first met her in The Fire and Ice Trilogy. And no, you don't need to read that before diving into this book. There are no cliffhangers either. Penny is a hopelessly awkward young woman with a natural affinity for magic that she discovers while on a retreat of sorts. She meets Emery after a series of events put them on the same path. This story has everything you want in great read. Humor, action, and intensity that places your imagination into overdrive. This author writes characters like a boss! I definitely recommend this book, especially if you enjoy this genre. I cannot say enough without giving away spoilers. It will leave the reader anticipating the second book, Natural Mage. I also recommend the Darkness Series by this author.

I'm so happy that K.F. Breene decided to keep going in this world and the series. Penny is sheltered from the world of magic by her mother. The first time she tries to be defiant, she ends up leading a spell that turns a coven into zombies...not her best moment. Soon after she meets a mysterious man with a vendetta against the powerful Mages’ Guild. Their power calls to one another and she can't deny that her intuition tells her to stay with him. But when the Mages’ Guild finds out how powerful she is, they'll want her to. This book is amazing amazing amazing. I love K.F. Breene's, she's one of my favorite authors. I'm glad Penny got her own story and I can't wait for the next book to be released!

This book is the start of a trilogy spin-off of the awesome Fire & Ice series, and it is fabulous! The love story between Penny and Emery was so touching and I loved all the fast-paced magical action and seeing Penny grow into her powers and character. I can’t wait to see what happens next!

I am so glad Breene has written about Penny. It’s not needed but I recommend reading the Fire and Ice Trilogy first simply so you know in advance who some of the characters are and because they are awesome books. Penny has always been different than other kids and bullied in her younger years. With her curiosity getting the better of her she takes a trip to New Orleans to attend what she believes is a witches retreat. What she finds is a whole bunch of trouble. After Reagan, Callie & Dizzy (from Fire and Ice Trilogy) dispose of the trouble Penny goes back home to find her troubles are far from over. Penny meets Emery, a natural Mage with vengeance on the brain. Emery starts to help Penny all while seeking revenge on the person who killed his brother. They form a quick bond that Emery didn’t expect and isn’t ready for. I love reading about Penny coming into her own and growing stronger with her abilities. I also enjoyed how this book pulls in characters from other books but you don’t need to read them to keep up with this story. Like with all of Breene’s writing, this book was too good to put down. I can’t wait until the next installment so I can watch Penny evolve into the powerful witch she should be and to see what happens between her and Emery. Until then I will re-read Fire and Ice Trilogy.

What a great start to the new series by K.F. Breene! This book made me laugh out loud so many times, my husband started giving me funny looks. I love the way the characters were so different, but interacted in a way that balanced each other. I loved the real life situations that I thought only happened to me. That gave me an extra chuckle. I can't wait to see what Breene has in store for the rest of the books in this series!

Great story! If you are a fan of the Fire & Ice trilogy you will be happy to see the same but different setting and Reagen and team as side characters! This is Penny’s story and her discovery of magic and of course chaos! This story had me laughing out loud and eager to get back to it when I had to put the book down. Looking forward to book 2!

Now this is how you write a spinoff! The best news of the year was knowing that one of my favourite authors was continuing the Fire and Ice series. It was so good to catch up with Reagan, Darius and the gang again and although they are not centre stage in this new series it was still awesome to meet up with these beloved characters. After all, as someone very wise said once," There is no such thing as secondary characters". K.F.Breene has proven time and time again that she is a master story teller and I can't wait to see what happens next.
