About the Author

Jaimie was born in 1971. Her parents moved around a few times when she was a child and as a result she has always been a bit of a nomad. Jaimie has lived in Utah, California, Washington, Arizona, Michigan, Hawaii and Oregon. She has also traveled around Europe quite a bit.

Jaimie always wanted to be a writer but in college she took a different path earning an MBA and then working in management in the business world. When she moved to Hawaii in 2006 she experienced a radical transformation. Hawaii is a magical place. The islands changed her and inspired her. She learned about Buddhism, started meditating and rock climbing. No longer afraid of what might happen if she followed her dreams of writing, she finally decided to take one of her ideas and run with it. It took several years but the end result is truly inspired and a magical tale about the myth surrounding the Hawaiian naupaka flower, a little white flower that only grows with half its petals.

Have you ever wondered why you are the way you are? Why are you pulled to certain people? Why do you have certain fears that defy explanation? What if there was more to it all than you knew? Jaimie likes to explore alternative ideas in her writing.

Jaimie met her soul mate and husband in Hawaii and they now live in Portland Oregon with their three year old daughter and two dogs. She is currently working on her next novel - a paranormal thriller with a bit of romance mixed in. She loves reading as much as she loves writing. You can follow her on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Pinterest.
