No bartender is a stranger to female attention.
I've got confidence, a cocky grin, and I can mix the perfect martini.

But there's only one girl I want.

I've spent years imagining how she'd feel in my arms.
Fantasizing about the things we could do in bed.
But she's off-limits.

Because even though sparks fly between us every time we touch, she's my best friend's little sister. And there are rules, after all.

But I can't take it anymore ... and damn the rules, I'm going after the woman I want.

Need you Now is book 3 in the Man if the Month Series and this Cameron Reed’s story or Mr March. Once again we are back at the bar in the run up to the lastest man of the month competition and in this sizzling read we get to know what makes Cam and Mina tick, we get to see a couple who have had feelings for each other for many years come to terms with those feelings but will Cam cross the line of friendship after all Mina is his best friends sister and she should be off limits. This is a great friends to lovers story but it also has a few twists and turns and a few surprise guests from previous books. For me each book in this series is as good if not better than the previous and means we are heading towards another brilliant series from the very talented J. Kenner, every character so far has been loveable and the chemistry has been sizzling and I’m sure the sparks will be flying in Mr April.

4.5 Star Review Need You Now (Man of the Month #3) by J Kenner The third book in the series and is Cameron Reed and Mina Silver’s story. This was a fun quick friends to lovers story which flowed well and was entertaining. Cameron has been in love with his best friends twin sister since childhood but she has never seen him in that light. Or has she? Cameron is concerned that his friendship, not only with Mina, but is best friend, would be in jeopardy if he crosses the line and moves on his long buried passion. However when circumstances offer him the perfect opening, he decides to jump all in. Unfortunately Mina does not appear to be as committed to their new found relationship. Each book in the series can be read as a standalone but honestly I think you will get more enjoyment if you read in order as previous characters pop in. Will Mina put the new relationship she finds herself in with Cameron first, or will she take the job of a lifetime move across the country? I fell really hard for Cameron and so wanted him to get his happily ever after. Mr March, you are one gorgeous man. The characters were easy to relate to, not only the main characters but the supporting ones as well. I thoroughly enjoyed this extremely well written and entertaining story and I cannot wait for the next book in the Man Of The Month series.

Hello Mr. March! I seriously don't know how I will pick a favorite. Every month they just get better and better. This is the 3rd book in the Man of Month series. Here we meet Cam and Mina. Their story is kind of friends to lovers. They've been friend since young but he always knew his feelings for Mina. But he finally convinces himself to put everything out and go after what makes him happy. Mina always knew she didn't want anything to tie her down, she is focused on her career and has no time for relationships. But soon they both realize just how good they both are for ever each other! Super cute story. Very romantic but not very steamy as the first 2 books in this series but still worth the read. I liked Cam. Hes not your alfa male, but super sweet, loving guy.

The March's Man of the Month, "Need You Now" is definitely delicious! Talk about a romance that brings in the element of surprise, that is exactly what I got when I read "Need You Now". Taken by surprise by our favorite conservative bartender at the Fix on 6th Cameron Reed. The one who has always claimed to be focused on studies ..the one with the cocky grin, gorgeous abs, and sparkling balls.....finally kicks it up a notch.. desiring from a distance that is our Cam. He has long fantasized about Mina Silver, our little green eyed intern. The only problem is Cam is her twin brothers best friend. So he has stayed away... While Mina is the woman who wants a man just to play with, nothing serious, just sex and definitely a man with an edge, who grabs control and makes a woman melt from the sex. Cam has fought his urges of want, holding back all his desires and fantasies of having matter how intense their chemistry is... until the one night when fear stepped in their path and Cam couldn't hold back another moment. The kiss that took them both down the alley of no return or does it. The sex between them is spicy, secretive, and sultry. Problems begin when Mina is offered the chance to go to LA for work, her career on fast track, but can she leave the man she loves. Is she willing to give up her dream job for our Mr. March Cam. the man with the "sparkly balls".. J. Kenner cleverly brings Kiki, Cams sister back to town to sing once again at the Fix on 6th before the Man of the Month contest, and with surprise guest appearances by the one and only Billionaire Damien Stark and his Texas Beauty Queen Nikki make a their way to fix does it illuminate Mina to confirm her decision to be true....CAM & MINA 4ever! This story is sinfully delightful. It is filled with desire, challenges, risks, and most of all love.

Another man of the month and this is Mr March, Mina Silver is focused on her career her plans to move to LA after finishing the segment at the bar. But she has to choose what is more important love or her career? Cameron has known Mina for years and she has always been off limits as she is his best friends sister and would he be willing to break the rules and do everything to have at least one of his fantasies about Mina come true. Will he risk his friendship or will he act on his own feelings? This is the must read series of the year.

I've loved this sweet, yet steamy at times, series about a group of friends taking an interesting marketing idea to save their local hangout, The Fix on Sixth. The underlying story features a contest every two weeks to ultimately find twelve locals to represent each month in a calendar that will be sold to raise money to save the bar. The search for Mr. March draws the spotlight on Cameron, bartender turned Weekend Manager for the Fix, whose abs we met in the Mr. February contest. The romance trope in this third book is about Cameron's attraction to his best friend's little sister, Mina. Mina's career goal is to work in cinematography so she volunteers to help the reality tv show (featuring the couple from the previous book in the series, Hold on Tight) that is using The Fix as its latest remodeling project, so she's at the bar every day. Those around them can see the growing attraction between the two, but Cam and Mina try to tamp down their feelings for different reasons. A sudden event results in an adrenalin-filled kiss releasing their pent-up feelings. I don't know how J. Kenner continues to create such strong, interesting (sometimes flawed) characters that are also relatable to the reader. Cam and Mina respect one another's educational and career goals, but it's those same goals which creates the conflict with their budding romance. Absolutely loved the creative dates Cam took Mina on, and how well they fit his character. Can't wait to catch future glimpses of their relationship as the series progresses! Also love the added bonus of "running into" crossover characters from Kenner's other series!

This is the third of story in the Man of the Month series and it is an entrancing read with characters that just envelop the reader from the beginning. Cam has been in love with his best friend’s sister, Mina, since they were young but she never looked at him twice. Mina has always been focused on her career and getting out from under her overly protective father and older twin brother. Cam has kept his feelings in check because he did not want to endanger his friendship with his best friend and possibly ruin his relationship with Mina. However, something is changing between them ever since the Mr. February contest. After some liquid courage and a harrowing experience, the two are thrown into re-examining their feelings towards each other. Is Mina willing to give up on her dreams of making it in Hollywood? How will Mina’s brother react when he finds out that Mina and Cam are a couple? Will Cam uproot his life to follow Mina? This is a very well written storyline with the added bonus of some beloved characters crossing over to add some additional spark. I am eagerly looking forward to the next installment! I volunteered to read an advance copy of this book.

This new installment in the Man of the Month series is a very entertaining story about friends turned lovers. I loved how the author doesn’t make their romance bloom overnight but rather in increments of self-realization and exploration. Cam has had a crush on his best friend’s twin sister Mina for half his life. He has spent years not making a move on Mina because of his friendship with her brother. Her overprotective family pampers her and sees her as weak. Cam and Mina were likeable, relatable, had great rapport with one another and were witty. The sassy banter between them was amusing. Their chemistry enhances their friendship and solidifies their bond. They have both been committed to their education and their career, they are supportive of each other. I just loved those moments when Mina starts to realize they share more than just a friendly connection, but something deeper that is worth fighting for. This sweet and romantic story is a great addition to the Man of the Month series. And Cam, or rather Mr. March, is definitely my favorite Man of the Month so far!

Sweet friends to lovers Cameron Reed and Mina Silver have been friends, like forever. Cameron went to high school with Mina and her twin brother, Darryl. Cam’s had a crush on her for the longest time but never acted on the attraction for fear of ruining a friendship. While Mina is determined to move to Hollywood to pursue a career, he needs to up his game and convince her to stay in Austin. Mina doesn’t do relationships, but Cameron isn’t settling for a friends-with-benefits connection her. It’s time to show the inner alpha male Mina craves, and this time there’s no going back. Mina loves Cameron as a friend, never suspecting he’s wanted to be more. After one blissful night, she can’t get him out of her mind. Yes, he’s sweet and nerdy and funny and so perfect in every aspect, especially how he’s worked and honed his body. Soon she’s falling for Cam, but can she afford to derail her career? Need You Now is another great addition to the series. This story is quick, sweet and romantic. I received and voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.

Need You Now by J. Kenner is book #3 in the Man of the Month series. As we continue the efforts to save The Fix on Sixth we were already introduced to bartender Cameron Reed highlighted by his antics in the February Man of the Month competition with "Comic Relief" scrawled across his chest. Mina Silver and her twin brother have been best friends, practically siblings, with Cameron. Unbeknownst to her, Cameron has had an unrequited crush for almost that entire time, when a moment passes between them, a spark lights for her as well, but they are going in different directions. Cameron to grad school and Mina to Los Angeles as soon as she can land a job there. I liked that while the tension between them about losing their friendship and Mina's brother Darryl's trust was there, it wasn't dragged out. The cast of characters that we have already been introduced to add to the whole of this book as well as some additional Stark World characters who make appearances. The passion, love and connection between Cameron and Mina was intoxicating and each learns things about the other that even with their years of friendship were unknown. Overall I have very much liked all the books in this series and Need You Now by J. Kenner is a great addition. As a friend's to lovers novel, it shows that love can hope and yearn for years, or just spark suddenly, and be just as strong. (I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book I received for free in exchange for my open and honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.)

If you follow my reviews, then you know that I love J. Kenner and I've read the first two books in the Man of the Months series. Compared to those two, this story is more on the sweeter side. It is still romantic, fun and somewhat hot but not as racy as Hold On Tight or even Down On Me. That's probably because Cam doesn't really look the alpha dominant male type. I would still describe him as a hot nerd and somewhat bossy in the bedroom but ultimately, he is more sweet to me than anything else :) Cam and Mina's story is a lovely romantic one. Though, there were times when I wasn't exactly crazy about Mina's behaviour (at times, I think she just acted unreasonably and a bit too melodramatic for my tastes), at the end everything worked out. I was glad that they found the middle ground that made them both happy. As this is somewhat of a short story, I am not going to share any more of it :) But if you are looking for a sweet and relaxing read, this is definitely what you are looking for. As for me, I can't wait to get my hands on Shelby and Nolan's story. It looks like it is going to be a racy one ;)

I have been waiting for Cameron’s story since Nolan and Kiki’s story was published & I was desperately hoping he would have his own book! The awaited story of Cameron and longtime crush on childhood friend, Mina is a great one! The chemistry Mina and Cam have are palpable and pop off the pages. We also get a little more Damien and Nikki and Kiki and Noah in this one too!! “Need You Now” is a must read for readers who love all things in the Stark Universe.

Wow! J. Kenner just keeps bringing in the hotties and the Man of the Month series just get better! We are now meeting Mr. March! Cameron is my newest favorite bartender and he has been pining over his childhood friend for years. Now he knows that Mina is ready to move on to something new that may change her career life. But does that mean Cam will lose his chance of a HEA? Can he really go for his best friends sister? Mina + Cam 4ever???? I am loving the characters in this series. The reason Julie is my favorite author is because she brings you a great world of characters that you can not help but feel a part of. This is why I love to read her books and feel like I am in a whole new world. I love the heat factor with the sexy scenes! We get a surprise visit at the end of the story from my book husband! (Which by the way made me giggling as if he was really standing in front of me) I love how the ending sets up the mood for the next book in the series. Need You Now will have you fast pace thinking and wondering what will happen next! I love how it feels like I am getting the full fun bar experience all the way from the food to the drinks. I loved that Kiki and Noah made an appearance as well as a Texan blond bombshell. (I love her too by the way.) You guys!!! Get started on these series and fall in love with the men that will capture your hearts in the Man Of The Month series!

Need You Now is the 3rd installment of the Man of the Month, a brand new series by J. Kenner. This one stars Cam, the youngest bartender at The Fix on Sixth, the bar where all the action takes place and is the main feature of all the interconnected stories. The owners of the bar need to improve sales and having a calendar contest the aforementioned Man of the Month is just one of the ideas they came up with. There’s also a reality show being produced detailing the improvements to the bar and featuring the contest. Camhad entered the last one (Mr February) as a joke, but now for March, he’s dead serious. Mina, is interring with the show’s producers and it’s here that she and Cam met, although they know each other already as she is Cam’s best friend’s sister. The girl he’s had his heart set on for a long time, so spending more time together is something he’s not adverse to. Mina wants dreams of being a star, she has her eyes and heart set on LA, just hoping for a chance to shine, she’s totally oblivious to how Cam really feels about her. When he finally makes it clear where his affections and desires lie, she is forced to look at what she truly wants from her life. Cam was pretty forceful with his intentions in this book, he seems like a happy-go-lucky kind of guy in the previous two stories, but then, he was just a secondary character. Will his love be enough to for Mina or will she walk away? It’s a chance of stardom or Cam, which will she choose?

The fun and antics and oh man the hotness doesn't end with this series and each book just continues to be awesome sauce. This time we have friends to lovers and of course the big brother they don't want to know about it. It makes for a great time with Cam trying to convince Mina that they are more than the chemistry in the bedroom. I love these two together and it isn't about the sex. This is a great coming of age story for Cam who has lusted after her for years and Mina who just realized there is more to Cam than she ever saw. I love what this series is doing and yes the books are all standalone with a common story about the bars financial challenges and the calendar contest. Each book is so much more as we meet the people in the mix and the relationships that become so much more. We get to know the friends and forces working together and it makes the series so much better. Don't just read one, well hells bells I dare you to read just one and not get hooked.

I was anxiously awaiting Cam and Mina’s book as there have been subtle hints of his attraction since book one. Little did I know that he has been harboring these feelings almost as long as he has known Mina. Cam has been promoted to assistant manager at The Fix on Sixth, the neighborhood hot spot that is hosting a Man of the Month competition for a calendar they are doing to help raise money to keep the establishment from going under. Cam was in close competition but was aced out of the February win for Man of the Month. He didn’t have any intentions of entering the March contest, but at the prodding of his best friend Darryl and his twin sister Mina, who he has a serious crush on, he decides to enter. Cam has a sad back story, but he has really done well for himself. He has won scholarships for college and he is currently working on his doctorate! He is not only gorgeous but smart! Mina is Darryl’s twin sister and he is very protective of her. He was born first and healthy, but Mina was a preemie and had a rough start her first few years, but growing up she caught up except her size, she is petite. Their mom left, and they were raised by their Dad and he is also very protective of her. Her dream is to get a job in Hollywood as a director. She has her master’s degree in film and media production, so her stint as an intern on the Fixer Upper show that’s also filming at The Fix on Sixth will only pad her resume, not to mention, she just got a job as an assistant to the VP of a production company in South Austin. An innocent touch Mina gave Cam set the wheels in motion for the attraction to ramp up and after a few drinks and liquid courage took over, the passion was ignited! Wholly hotness they have chemistry. Cam is wanting to out them as a couple, but Mina wants to keep it on the down low. Will their relationship become public? Can Cam confess to Darryl that he is dating his sister? Who wins Man of the Month for March? I’m not going to spill the beans! You are just going to have to read it and find out for yourself. This was a terrific addition to this series and it just continues to keep me enthralled.

J Kenner’s Man of the Month series is kicking it into high gear with Need You Now! As the fourth book in her ever growing saga, Kenner is making waves and stealing hearts with the different tropes and sexy, handsome men she brings into the rebranding of Fix on Sixth. Mr. March contest is underway and some ever popular Kenner Krew take a pit stop to join in to help. “Cameron Reed. Mild-mannered librarian by day. Internet porn star by night.” Cameron Reed has had eyes on his best friends little sister for sometime now. Having grown up together, him and Darryl Silver have pestered Mena to no end, but ever since hormones played a roll, his eyes have only been on her. However, he wouldn’t jeopardize his friendship with either one of them… or could he? Mena’s feelings for Cameron have escalated and when a chance to take things to the next level arise, time spins out. She has worked diligently to make a name for herself, a career to hold true with no time for love. But when it comes to Cameron she can’t see past him. Can she juggle her career and love at the same time even though her dream is to be in LA in Hollywood to make a name for herself? “She was seeing him in ways she shouldn’t --in ways that were pure fantasy.” “He was in her heart. Her heart and her head and her thoughts.” Need You Now is a sweet friends to lovers romance. One to cherish to heart. A hero to knock your socks off and worship at your feet. Cameron Reed’s quest for love in his best friend’s little sister was pure and beautiful. Their connection and intimacy was beyond hot, which was surprising since he was a down to earth guy. But he takes charge behind closed doors and that’s where the fun lies. Both characters are likeable and relatable. I enjoyed that both are educational/career driven. Mena is independent, strong and determined for her future. I liked how Kenner made Cameron a book nerd. The date he takes her on and shows her the drawings in the margins was touching for his personality which totally fit the story! I especially devoured the end when a *cough* certain character from Kenner’s past work makes an appearance. I only hope this character makes reappearances throughout. 4 Stars

Now we head to Cameron and Mina's story. I love a story of forbidden love, when it's your best friend's sister and you absolutely cannot touch her like that! But you can't help it. Cameron has been in love with Mina for most of his life, Mina always saw Cameron as her brother's best friend. Until she put his hand on his chest and the sparks ignited. Love this series and how we get to meet new people, but still keep up with the couples from previous books. So excited for the next.

Title: Need You Now Author: J. Kenner Genre: Adult, Contemporary, Romance Format: Ebook - ARC Pages: 250 Rating: 5 Heat: 5 Thoughts: Hello Cameron Reed (swoon)! Wouldn’t mind him studying me (fans self). Still not sure which one of these Man of the Month hunks I want more. This was a fun story and with a nice surprise of characters that pop in. I’m enjoying the continuing sub-plot between the books, along with the characters. I couldn’t put this down! I was hooked from the start and had to see how it ended. Yea, I know… it’s an HEA but I so wanted to know how it happened. So worth staying up late to read. Please note that I received a complimentary copy of this work and chose to write a review.

Who knew book nerds were so hot and dirty beneath their studious, down-to-earth demeanor…THIS GIRL!!! AND, now that a certain best friend’s sister has FINALLY seen the light or should I say the abs, I couldn’t wait to see how Cameron Reed got his girl…the one he’s wanted for forever regardless of the fact that she’s somewhat forbidden due to his friendship with Mina’s brother and the protective nature of the men in her life. Cameron is not usually one to break the rules, but when J. Kenner sets him up to finally be noticed by the woman of his dreams/fantasies, he’s all about taking that chance and proving to Mina that he’s never really seen himself as just her friend or her second brother. And while it takes Mina a bit longer to work that idea out, when she does, the sexual tension and the will they or won’t they question plays out deliciously until, ultimately, they have no choice but to succumb to their desires for each other. Need You Now is another quick and steamy read in J. Kenner’s Man of the Month series, and while each book is unique in its characters and even the focused trope(s), one premise unites them all and interweaves these sexy and sweet stories…that being creating a calendar to save a local bar, The Fix, which is home to many of the characters as well as a highly entertaining spot for others. I really like how J. Kenner has laid out this series and the fact that the heroes and heroines of each book have been introduced in previous ones, so there is some background knowledge, but readers truly get to know them when it’s their turn to be front and center, and that’s when we notice exactly who and what they’re made of, and that close-up view allows us to feel invested in the stories and cheer for couples that thought they would never be together. 4 Poison Apples
