About the Author
Marcia Mandel is an explorer of the human spirit whose philosophy is: All the answers are inside; nature balances us so we can hear them. She has written for television, film, advertising and print. Her column Along the White Trail ran for six years and can be seen on at her blog. Marcia lives in a provincial park in the Haliburton Highlands in Central Ontario with her husband Alan Clark. Megan Stanford was a grade eleven student when she illustrated this book in 2004. She now works professionally as an artist in Ottawa, Ontario.
