The writing and the editing mar an interesting story in an interesting cyber milieu. The writing at the beginning is particularly weak, with a number of the opening pages being devoted to a pointless verbal volley between Richards and a police detective about whether Richards should open the door or not. Editing flaws repeatedly jerked me out of the story, including a few sentences that didn't even make sense. But clad in that low-rent exterior is a pretty good cyber detective story.
